Why should he be given any respect? He never gave Hopkins any after he got taken to school by a guy more than a decade older than himself.

All he did was make up constant excuses. My Neck! My Back! My Neck & My Back!

Although he was kind enough to adress Hopkins as Sir during his post fight reprimand.

I just watched the Martinez/Williams fight. Paul made it way to easy for Martinez. Kelly has much better defensive fundamentals than Williams does so this will be a much different fight. If it isn't and they get into the exchanges that Williams/Martinez did, Martinez is going to get the worst of it for sure. Yeah, Martinez looked good for part of the fight dancing just out of reach, but that only lasted so long and Paul was doing his part lunging in. You aren't going to see Kelly lunging around after him.

Martinez beat the Hell out of Williams, but Williams had his judges in his hometown.

see...this is a little off. i mean between the OP's title and first post. are you not convinced about what kelly can do or are you not sold on what he's done post taylor? "im far from convinced about kelly pavlik" and "his achievements after taylor are overrated" arent the same thing.

Here is what he can do when he's healthy

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HchCpnORAqk&feature=PlayList&p=F09278C2A2FFA6BA&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=12[/ame]

so are you unconvinced about what he's capable of...or are you just not happy with what he's done since he won the title? b/c i am not happy with what's happened since he won the title...nor are the other fans of his...nor is he. he had staph for a year in his hand. he's young and healthy now. he has time to do what he needs.

so again i ask since your title and first post arent exactly the same...are you not convinced about what he can do...or are you just not happy w/ what has happened post taylor?

I have a feeling he'll wear down Martinez.

How do you like this: The 2006-09 version of Hopkins was a better fighter than Mayweather.

Mayweather is really quite one-dimensional, in fact.

Hopkins is beatable per his record! As it stands no one has beaten Mayweather and to tell you the truth Shane nor Pac can beat him at this time so for you to point out a period in time(2006-2009)where Hopkins is "better" than Mayweather then I have to totally disagree!! So you must think Calzaghe is/was better than Mayweather!!!

Team Pavlik has talked about fighting Sturm in Germany if the money is right. Either way I'm with ya. Somebody ought to step up and pay these guys an amount that makes sense for a unification fight in boxing's second most prestigious division.
