when you attempt to work the lower back (stiff leg deadlifts, ab wheel roll out etc) your entire trunks is involved.

Core work is more important for dishing out than taking blows.

The core training is done by exccersicing targeting the area and alot oif lot alot of punishig to the mid section...

I like to have my boxers hang on the chin-up bar, while I punish them with the medicine ball for 10 rounds.....

the core training is gain by pain..no substitute

Weight lifting....improves your bone density. Some people have naturally dense bones. That's one main reason you never see any good Black professional swimmers...because they have dense bones. Just like your muscles...your bones adapt to the resistances you put them under.

Core Training...is the most important area of training for any athlete. It affects...support...co-ordination/Balance...injury prevention...and performance.

If that logic were true then really overweight people would be great swimmers.

Do you want to be in beter shape to absorbe a body punch than your opponent...then you do as I say...that's what I tell them when I hear exactly that...

Hang on the chin up bar for 3 minuites, I will bang you with the 16lbs medicine ball, rest for a minute back on the bar again for the same....beleive me...you get ready..we do this every other day , the very last thing....so your body is so much in shoke ..your system is in hi gear and working on adrenaline alone
