In the Fury vs Whyte fight I realised how important the microphones in the arena really are. I cant enjoy a fight that much, when I cant hear the punches landing. Compare Fury vs Whyte or AJ vs Usyk with the Fury vs. Wilder 3 fight. The difference in hearing the punches is gigantic. I think it makes a very big difference when it comes to judging and enjoyment of a fight. What do you guys think?

Judging a fight using sound as part of the process, i think not, it could be said a judge would make a more objective decision without hearing anything, a partisan crowd cheering every punch/action of their fighter could sway a judges decision.

The best punches do not necessarily make most sound, so judging on that basis is not good.

If your viewing of the fight is enhanced by hearing the punches land due to microphones, then fair enough.
