I think this is an intresting subject. why is the 0 so important. does it affect the amount you get paid, does it affect your legacy?

Thomas Hearns had Ray Leonard and Marvin Hagler, his two biggest moments and he was stopped in both, thats what he is rememberd for and he still goes down as one of the greatest fighters of all time. Quality fights will establish the greatness of both winner and loser.

can you name an undefeated fighter that has not been accused of ducking, or there level of opposition has never been questioned?

you cannot really bring up guys like Ray Robinson and Ali becuase they were from a different time. But Pacquiao, Gatti, Lennox Lewis all has losses and they have been in the top 10 money makers of the last 15 years.

Gaz!!!!!! Tunney wasn't undefeated!!!!! Although he definitely avenged te loss at least once :deal

The '0' is a marketing tool IMO, and has only come to the forefrot in the last 15-20 years.

What a shame Packy McFarland lost his debut. Went 90+ after that without a loss.

Who was the first person to constantly bang on about being undefeated as if it made him an ATG?

Or maybe not bang on about it.... but make it a really prominent issue?

I was going to say Leonard but it wasn't as if he avoided anyone before he got beat..... Eubank maybe :think

I dunno.........the first time I remember it being a marketing ploy was Floyd-Hatton though. That was all about the '0'.

And Gaz, we all do it. :good

I didn't want to blatantly come out with ''Leonard ducked Hagler'' given my reputation as a Leonard hater/Hagler fan.....

Plus there was that dodgy eye courtesy of Tommy Hearns' jab :hey

If only that fight was 12 rounds :-(
