The infamous Son of God nickname

    When I first heard Ward's nickname was Son of God I threw up, and have since held it against him, but now I read this article on ringtv.com and it says the guy's a devoted Christian, so I guess the nickname is meant to be understood in the we're all God's children way.

    Just wanted to clear the guy's name, though most of you meatheads prolly didn't hate him for the nickname anyway.

    He should be called S.o.H.
    Son of Holyfield because of his head butting skills.
    Son of Hatton because of his wrestling skills.

    Or you can say SOH = Son of Hopkins and that will cover both the Hatton and Holyfield accounting in 1:good

    Yeah, if he is a Christian then that's what he is trying to say. But I will go a little further and explain something to you and everyone else. A person can only be considered Son of God once he or she has entered through the door which is Jesus, ( this is known as accepting Christ into your life as your Lord and Saviour ). Everyone else that believes in Christ but hasn't accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour are not God's children, they are God's creation.

    It's a really Big difference between being God's children and God's creation, this is a very bad and wrongly accepted philosophy among people everywhere. A person can only become son or daughter of God by entering through the door, which is Jesus Christ.

    Believing is just the first step, but sadly this is where most believers stay and never make the decision to enter and by not doing so they remain un-saved !!! :verysad

    Boxing is two men willingly entering into an athletic competition. It's not like he's punching out drunks in bars on weekends. I'm a Christian and think it's fine to box.

    I prefer your presumption of the hubris of the "Son of God" nickname to knowing he's using it in some devout, sheepish way.

    And the Son of Holyfield is Timmy Bradley.
