The Inoue vs Crawford P4P debate has made me realize that "context" does not matter. Rant

Crawford is Him. Why let greatness pass before your eyes and miss it all over frivolous nonsense. I hated Kobe his whole career for no good reason and when it was over and the accolades were accumulated, I realized I missed something special for what? Absolutely nothing. The man cannot substitute who is available for who isnt but he has established his dominance in 18 straight title fights. Smh

The fighters today are all about the money, which means avoiding risk, which means less to no chance of being great, which means less chance of fighting other greats, and the self fulfilling arguments.

But to say Imoue is "pretty" skilled is wrong. He is highly skilled and he has great feet that always keep him in the right position to throw solid power shots. That's why he is p4p1 right now.

Fury is a useless boxer with solid marketing support. He ducked Wlad, AJ, Usyk, and has no great win. Keeping the lies going about Fury and Wilder is like the church lying about the sun revolving around the Earth.

Well Castaño 1 was a draw, so only Harrison has a win over him. But both the loss to Harrison and the draw to Castaño were avenged in convincing fashion. And I think we can say that both of those guys are better than anyone Bud fought. Some would say Spence is better than them but that's definitely debatable especially if you consider the state of Spence since the car wreck.

So yes Charlo has the loss and the draw, but if he's fought much better competitiion you have to take that into consideration. When RJJ lost to Montell Griffin then avenged it did that loss stop him from being P4P #1? Of course not. P4P is really about the fighter you are today and if you avenge a close loss or draw in emphatic fashion it pretty much erases the first fight as it pertains to P4P. Many would argue to be P4P #1 you should have to test yourself against the best to prove how good you are, even if you take a close L as long as you rematch and avenge it it would be better than fighting easier competition where you don't have to dig down deep. That's why many keep saying Bud has the worst resume of any P4P #1 and there's a point to that. And many have said that if Jermell beats Canelo he would be the clear P4P #1.

A boxing match is a two horse race. It's also extremely polarising and is open to being weaponised.

I personally have never taken records into account when judging fighters historically or putting them in a pound for pound top 10.

I've always gone off the eye test.

I agree. They always point that Bud was outboxed and wobbled in fights.Forgetting to analyse the fight.Based it on eye test. You have to consider its the level and qty of the opponent which is better. Pnd for pnd tougher, stronger and more skilled. Most of all in the hottest division in boxing where people love to see.No one gives a shytt about 118 or 122 boxer.

Another thing.Bud would have ktfo pac.But wouldn’t get much credit because Manny is a decade older and i gaurantee you they will bring up this excuse.Which is a fair and just excuse.Age matters in boxing.Another fighter does it ( old man killer) and because he is from another country gets raved on like its an amazing accomplishment. There is definitely two sets of standards fighters from country to country get judged on.

Never take a hater pnd pnd list seriously.

There is no way we can assume that Crawford would knock many out based on who Crawford has fought
