I scored it 115-113 Kotelnik, only watched it the once though. Could certainly have gone either way. His comments about the Khan fight are shitty.
I'm worried about fighters (such as Froch and Kotelnik now) recently saying things like 'I would have got the decision at home'. To me at least, it's tantamount to saying 'I would have been given a victory'; it makes no sense whatsoever and the fighters in question seem to see no problem in saying they would have got 'home decisions', yet are sour they got on the wrong end of an 'away decision':huh. Man up, Kotelnik- you were completely outclassed and embaressed by a man you said you'd KO, mate.
There was one point in this fight where Kotelnik made Khan look like Pernell Whitaker. He got outclassed.
Self Confidence mate I presume. All boxers have ego's and all of them like to be confident. Saying things like that is just there way of boosting there confidence ahead of their return
Apart from a few textbook schoolings, I've rarely seen a fight with a more clear winner than Khan-Kotelnik. It wasn't even remotely close.
I'm not that sure he beat Maidana, it was a very close fight.... so he's got no right to ***** about judging. Especially given that he hardly threw a punch at Khan :nut
He simply couldn't cope with Khan's speed and combinations and clearly lost the fight. He should shut up.
