You could make a case for Gavilan being higher, that's fine. I think Lopez is on the money. Made plenty of defences but his quality of opponent often left something to be desired. That's not his fault though, he beat who they put in front of him.

Oscar wouldn't make the top 30 Mexican-American list.

Couldn't disagree more. Jeffries' resume has wins that even Tyson himself would wish he owned. Truly underrated, as is Loi.

As already mentioned, Trinidad beat DLH. I've tried to steer away from contentious decisions and gone with the result, otherwise we'd never get anywhere. If you think Tito was dominated by Hopkins I think you need to watch that one again. It was an epic fight and Trinidad, despite being the smaller man gave one hell of a performance. I like how you mention he was dominated by Hopkins, but don't even touch on Oscar's effort.

Tell my why you would rate Loi above Oscar Delahoya? Resume? Ability? i just cant see it, in no category is he better.

THe difference was Oscar was in that fight up until the last couple rounds it was almost an even fight.

Where as Hopkins practically shut out Tito. You seem to be the only one i know that thinks Tito was in that fight. how did you have Hopkins and TITO scored going into that 12th round?

I gotta say I think Gavilan is at least 40 spots to low...but he is another hard one to rank if you dont sift through mountains of articles and get hold of rare film.
But why this list is just so good to read for me is that you dont just chuck names in there, you have backed it up with some explanation which is good..so its so hard to fault seeing so much of this stuff is up to personal opinion and the fact I agree with about 98% of it helps me digest very easily aswell. :yep

Dont worry about anarci and his Lopez fetish...you wont convince him otherwise, not matter how much sense you make ay anarci?

Probably based on holding an edge in winning series against Hall of Famers Perkins and Ortiz despite both being at the tail end of his career.

The difference for me is that Trinidad walked through hell trying to remove Hopkins from his throne while Oscar was stopped with a single body shot. The judges had it right in my opinion with Bernard up by about 5 points.

ive read this about 5 times over ippy, such a herculean effort and well appreciated, list is pretty spot on also, i agree with the rating of calzaghe over tyson, calzaghe is far too underrated imo and tyson a tad over , well done.
