Although, does that make Brits ****s too?

    Patrick Finbarr McGuigan MBE

"took out British citizenship so that he could compete for British domestic titles"

"he was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year, becoming the first person not born in the United Kingdom to win the award"

Cant claim someone more than being named their best athlete.

Threads like this bring this whole place down.

Cant we all just get along?

if it brings more pro bouts to Ireland, especially Dublin, then I will welcome him with open arms.

If you dont, you're and fool and I would simple ask you to name the last bill that took place in Dublin! Now thats embarrassing!

He could be English, Irish, Indian, Iraqi or from the ****ing moon, I really don't care, I just want to see him box and that's how it should be.

Of course you look out for people from your own country anybody with an ounce of patriotism does the same but that's not the be all and end all of it.

It comes down to how he boxes and if you like it or not.

Tyson Fury's Irish if he sees himself as Irish. This whole plastic Paddy thing is a joke. Of course it would be strange if somebody claimed to be Irish just because they've got one Irish great great great grandparent, but who's actually met somebody like that? People don't call themselves Irish because they think we're so great, they do it because their parents taught them they were Irish.

Half my cousins grew up outside Ireland, and most of them would have considered themselves Irish first. Maybe if your parents raise you wrong you grow up with the mental disease of supporting the England football team, but it's not the norm!

    Mcguinty
one quick look at your posts
and youve been saying the same thing

    FOR OVER A YEAR
    YOU ARE NOT NORMAL
    you've completely lost it
why do you care so much, and as for claiming irish fighters, those fighters we claim are actually from the UK as the northern ireland is part of the UK as you must fully well know yourself but can't accept it.

if anyone claims anyone it's Ireland

Tyson Fury is english he speaks with an english accent and his parents are the same, no one even knows where his apparent irish roots come from, yet you try to claim him

Same with Matthew Macklin the birmingham fighter with the brummie accent

It's the same in Football, half of the republic of Ireland team is English
