I'm with u on this one bro...when they were talkin' about "The Sweet Science" they should have put this kid's picture next to it.Total boxer with evry skill in the book..besides power. On the skill level...very few could come close in the history of this game.

Always loved Calderon..even tho' I'm into boxer-punchers myself.but when you watch him do his thing...it's awe-inspiring.Too bad he's almost over the hill age-wise.

HBO are maggots for not flighting this kid this week.

    Master boxer for sure.

Im a Calderon fan but all this underrated stuff is a load of crap imo. Great boxer but hasn't got the wins to make his way into my top 10 fighters around these days.

People were calling him underrated about a year ago and since then he has become overrated. Coming up in a lot of peoples top 8 but he hasn't fought anyone of real note.

There is a few good fighters in his weight class and the one below that if he beats then i would consider him in the top 10 but until then his is in the fringes of it

Mayol will knock him out. He's an overrated fighter.

    We will see.

Your post has nothing to do with the fact that Mayol is Pinoy?

This fight is going to be good Pilipinas vs Puerto rico We are leading 1-0 since penalosa got beat by juanma Mayol has the power to put Calderon to sleep if he is not careful being trained by roach is also a good thing for Mayol. I heard roach picked Calderon as a sparring partner for DLH leading into the Mayweather bout and Calderon was actually slapping DLH around and schooling DLH Roach said it was unbelievable to see this little guy pouncing on DLH that way. This will be a classic matchup of power vs skill and i think skill will prevail. :good

i think mayol was already spent even at a fairly young age. he already had 3 tough fights, the war against eagle kyowa, ko'ed against archie solis and last was a stoppage against hernandez. he won his last two fights but against mediocre and unknown opposition. the mayol at least of before the solis fight would have given calderon a run for his money but not now, imo.

Im biting my nail. Mayol has got stamina problem so if Calderon runs....

Hit and not be hit.......Calderon motto on this fight.

    He will not engage.

    Though odds for Mayol.
