Interview with Carl Frampton This content is protected Carl Frampton - future world champion? By Shaun Brown After only seven professional fights, unbeaten Carl The Jackal Frampton has made quite an impact on British boxing. With fatherhood on the horizon and his first title fight next month, life is sweet just now for the 23-year old. Speaking to Undisputed, Frampton had just finished his heavy training duties in preparation for his date with Gavin Reid (6-7-1) on Dec 3rd for the Celtic super-bantamweight title in his native Belfast. Everythings went perfect so far in training. Ive had good sparring with the likes of John Simpson. I sparred 28 rounds with him over a couple of days. Both of us helped each other out (Simpson fights Martin Lindsay for the British featherweight title next month). Ive also done some speed work with a few top amateurs from London. The weight is perfect and Ive got my body fat down to 2.8%, explained Frampton. Tipped as one of the brightest prospects in the country, as well as one of the two leading apprentices in the domestic super-bantamweight division alongside Scott Quigg, Frampton treats every fight the same and leaves little to chance. Until his date with Reid, the focus is now on doing as little as possible. Im going back home tomorrow and until the fight happens the coming days are all about weight management. I need to save as much energy as possible so its a case of plenty of rest, watching television and walk the dog with my girlfriend. read more at http://www.undisputedfightmag.com/2010/11/26/the-jackal-is-on-the-hunt/
Best prospect in Irish pro boxing imo , cant wait to see him and Quigg have a scrap although I think Quigg will swerve this one.
