I come from a Loyalist area close to where Carl is from, I know his family, he's a smart lad with a good head on his shoulders. Good to see he's comfortable with his culture and nationality and doesn't need to walk into the ring draped in flags and emblems.
He seems to have his head screwed on and unlike many boxers from these parts he doesn't see the need to drape himself in an irish tricolour or union jack. That alone is reason enough to support him in my view. Hopefully he can go all the way.
It's a pity this fight didn't happen sooner. I would have loved to have seen Frampton Martinez after Martinez had taken Jason Booth out. I think his inactivity could play a large part in this fight. The Booth fight was the best I have ever seen Martinez - he actually boxed very well rather than just bombing away. That being said I'm still looking forward to it. Can't wait to get back to a bit of live Boxing! I'll take Frampton on points for this one. Talking of inactivity, that could be the order of the day with Lindsay on the bill as well. It will be interesting to see what he has left. That could easily be the fight of the night if Lindsay is on form. All the best to both lads.
most true boxing fans dont give a **** wat nationality he considers himself... im from an irish republican background and i will happily support frampton no matter wat he considers himself 2b.... as long as he treads the neutral path he will do fine:yep:good
