Whose with me :hey Im supporting him the best way i know how... putting $50 on him at 7-1 odds! GO PITTMAN!!! :happy:happy:happy
By the way, where did you get 7-1? I was going to use a mate's sportingbet account but it looks like they're only paying 5.
And I think this warrants a change of avatar in the lead-up to the fight. I don't think Mick will mind.
Gonzo where is your support in the tipping comp then you bloody hypocrite??? I am supporting him 150%, it would be fantastic to see him pick up a title. A very live under dog as well.
It is a win-win situation for Pittman. He's not expected to win. If he does, brilliant. Suddenly he's earning half decent purses. If he doesn't, well then at least he gets a taste of the big time and valuable experience.
Thornberry: Pittman can win! By Ray Wheatley -- World of Boxing Australian middleweight Jamie "Mr Business" Pittman (16-0, 7 KOs) has what it takes to defeat WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm (28-2-1, 12 KOs) according to Noel Thornberry (who negotiated the Sturm vs Pittman bout). They clash on Saturday at Burg-Waechter Castello Dusseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. "Pittman has looked outstanding in sparring sessions with Sakio Bika - who won the Contender Tournament," commented Thornberry. "He is a big southpaw (6'1) who is very hungry to win - he respects Felix Sturm but will not be overwhelmed by the occassion." Sturm was fortunate to hold on to the title in his last ring appearance when he was awarded a twelve round draw against mandatory challenger Randy Griffin in October 2007. Pittman said, "I have seen several tapes of Sturm and I am confident I can win the WBA title when we meet on Saturday."
