Hasegawa great fun as usual but reckless as well. Who next for him? A rematch with Burgos Jr could be good.

"It is true that our fight fans greatly anticipate a sensational confrontation of the WBC champ Ao and the WBA titlist Takashi Uchiyama in the same 130-pound category, both of whom are of Japan. They have an agreement with different TV stations, and there seem to be many complex problems for the unification bout to materialize, but it is the dream fight of our great many aficionados."

Seems unlikely Uchiyama-Ao will happen :-(

Shibata Vs Saijo was the one that got away IMO. Looks like this fight may go the same way.

Kind of nit-picky, no? He only went hog wild when it was clear he had the stoppage in hand one way or another. And Felix could take five hail marys, I just don't think he had the right stuff.

He's always transitioned into a gung-ho kamikaze attack when he gets a particularly sharp one off that stings the opponent.

I doubt there's anyone - in or outside of Japan - who doesn't want to see that by now. :yep

Some people to this day still think of HH as a non-puncher due to the high proclivity toward decisions early in his career driving down his KO%, but dude has both big pop and good finishing instincts.

Any predictions for Nishiokas next scrap? Being promoted to 'Super dooper' champ smacks suspiciously of being sidelined by the org.

I know there's a few fans of the highly touted prospect Ryuji Hara on here, so I uploaded the highlights shown for his fight against Hiroshi Ishii. Not much shown, but better than nothing!

I'll be doing a full post on Hara soon :good

I take it Ioka is the favourite here? Not to clued up on these two. Only seen a couple of their fights.
