    Apparently Ioka and his team are trying to get a unification fight sorted with WBA champion Akira Yaegashi in a big all-Japan showdown. If that doesn't materialise, then I think Ioka will move up.

    By the way, did you know that Ioka on just his debut had over 8,000 spectators watching him in the arena? He's a popular lad in Japan :yep

    Why does it keep being reported that Gamboa is fighting Rocky Juarez? He isn't! They're talking about him fighting Rocky Martinez on a card headlined by Rios in March.

    Any news on Ryo Miyazaki Kos? Think he'll be fighting for a World Title soon? Ain't seen any of his recent fights but the last I saw of him I thought he looked class, certain to be in some entertaining fights at world level :yep

    Well that's good news and thanks :good

    No solid info at the moment about him, but he's highly ranked with both the WBC and WBA, and a title shot certainly looks possible this year. He seems to be having weight problems as well, so the quicker the better really.

    And yeah, he's in the same gym as Ioka :thumbsup

    Still no update yet :-(

    Haven't seen any of Yamanaka yet but I'd have thought the Darchinyan fight will be an interesting one. Moreno I always felt was wrong stylistically for Vic but I also feel his consecutive run of big fights (forgetting the likes of Barcelona & Mbamba) is starting to catch up with him and that he's aging. Still Yamanaka is obviously a green 'champion' so good on him for taking such a risky 1st defence.

    It has the makings of an intriguing fight and one which could tell us a lot about both mens careers in the immediate future. Looking forward to it when it happens

    What's happening with Hazegawa anyway after the upset vs Gonzalez? I always thought that the jump up to featherweight after Montiel was a hasty decision, I don't see why he felt the need to bypass super-bantamweight. I wouldn't mind seeing him drop down to 122- a fight with Poonsawat would be quality IMO.

    It's bull****. Boxrec have it wrong (not the first time as well like JFT96 says).

    I don't even know if the Martinez fight is going to happen. There was a story on the scene last week saying Rocky was asking for too much money.
