The Jeff Thomas Steam Train of Destruction Express

Hi folks,

Its been a while, and sorry i've not being posting here too often. Still been keeping an eye on the board and stuff but been very busy with other things and not posted with quite the intensity of yesteryear.

As you know, i've long, long wanted to comeback and better the glories of yesteryear and in September having got bored with the reciting the same old, same old stories of been robbed against Lee McAllister and co, and blaming everyone other then myself for my poor training methods I decided that I would get in shape and give it one last shot.

I purposely kept it quiet from this board having injured myself last time I attempted to get in shape for a comeback 18 months or so ago. I didn't want you to have to sit through the boring part while I turned my fat, out of shape body into something more fitting of a fighter.

Basically i've been training like a mentalist- there's a couple of video's on there and pics. Done a bit with Howard Rainey and also been working frequently with Kevin Maree and an old pro called Alan Lavene and Tony Moran at Blackpool Kingcote where I help coach the little monkeys.

So i'm in great shape and hoping potentially for a return on Steve Woods bill in Colne on the 4th March all being well (Thanks Steve- not sure you know about it!!).

I've reached my final obstacle now- which is paying for my medical and brain scan. This will be £550 squids which as you can imagine is quite a bit of money for a pauper like myself to put together. So tomorrow mylocal paper is running a story on a has been boxer (or a never-was depending on your angle) coming back after nearly 5 years out with dreams of becoming a champion.

Hopefully I will get a response but another idea, that Kev came up with was the possibility of doing some sort of ownership thing on here if you guys are interested. A bit like buying into a race horse- you guys invest in me and I then reimburse however many choose to take part in a percentage of my purse. Not quite sure how the whole thing would work but basically will do it all on paypal- all above board. So you guys will have some input into what fights I take and if I get into a prizefighter or something like that then quickly you might find yourself making a few quid.

On the other hand if any of you guys are interested in sponsering me I'd greatly appreciate it and i'll keep you guys in the loop about what i'm planning etc- what do you guys think?

anyone got any idea's of how this could work- i'm thick as **** when it comes to stuff like this. What happens with race horses- yes I know they race..

Want to do it all proper and legitimate. So any clever people on here- please give me some idea's how it could be achieved?

First thing i'll find out what's happening with sponsers tomorrow. Then i'll be in a better position to know how much more i'm going to need.

Got to be this week- i'm cutting it tight and praying that the board will just let me fight on the basis that i've got my coaches license and speak to Rob Smith and members of the board fairly reguarly so they know i'm not mentally ill etc.... they could request me to attend a meeting.
