    I would put in money with others on here.

    If ESB members did sponsor you though you would have to be announced into the ring as ESB's own Jeff Thomas!!!

    Imagine michael buffer singing that out. (Ok thinking big but it's nice to dream).

    Jeff, regarding the brain scan, Steve Robinson told me the other day that the Board now give you £100 back towards the cost of scans, as his son Luke has just had one last week, and he received the Board's donation toawards it.
    This is a big help for boxers' scans, because as you know they don't come cheap (£350 a scan down this neck of the woods!). I'm not sure if this is over-all Board policy or just something the Welsh area council are now doing, but it's worth investigating.

    Well worth checking out with your local area council. Despite all the criticism people aim at the Board sometimes, they are actually quite generous with financial support to it's license holders when they are able to. Last year they helped me with costs towards a new ring.
    No forms or anything to fill in. I just simply asked Robert Smith about it, he forwarded it to my local area council - and hey presto I get a letter telling me they'll kindly make a substantial donation to help me out (and they duly did).

    So check it out with your local Board reps. :good
