Good points raised here, although Pac's win over DLH was a major accomplishment; to think he can compete against top-level WW's based on that fight would be injustice to P-Will, Margo, Cotto, Mosley, etc. As a matter of fact, I'd love to see Cotto-Pac, but I think Cotto is much too strong physically for the Pacman. That would be one HELL of an action packed fight!

Now when we're talking about JMM moving up, it's true that he has a smaller frame then the Pacman, but I think that he can have some competitive fights at 140, against guys like Malignaggi, Ndoujo or whoever. I'm just not so sure that JMM can keep up with Hatton style wise.

And whoever said JMM is scared of Pac after the DLH fight, keep dreaming! JMM is a warrior and would never back down from a fight, especially with his biggest rival. JMM and Rafa get my full respect, one hell of a brother combo, their dad must've been one tough mother****er. You think JMM-Pac 3 would happen at 135 or 140?

David Diaz??? and even though I picked DLH based on style, I didn't expect him to be so shot.

I would pick, JMM, Hatton, and pretty much anyone with some kind of speed and pop to beat DLH at this point.

Yes, and no. There have been many greats who didn't move up many weights to become champs.

You must not feel stupid, but I assure you, you sound stupid.

    JMM 135 A+

    JMM 140 A-

JMM 145 No way in hell....

JMM is a great great fighter, but he needs to stay out of Pac until Pac calls him. So that way he isn't called as a stalker. JMM has a lot of legacy molding to do, and lightweight is where it is.

It's easy to say that after you saw what pac did to both of those fighters. I doubt you would say the same thing prior to oscar's destruction by pac.

OK!OK! You have your long analysis again..

Lets take a recap of your predictions:

NO if's NO but's OK?! NO could have, Would have..

pac vs jmm - you said jmm - pac won!
pac vs odhl - you said odhl - pac won!

two crows in a row! I'll be happily sending you a marinade
if you hit the jackpot again buddy!

ANYWAY lets go back a little further after his loss to Moreles.
DID you know that PAC has not lost any single fight since March of 2005. That means PAC has won NINE consecutive fights?!

Now, if pac meets JMM at 140lbs or 147lbs I don't think he would last. Maybe at 135lbs JMM will have a chance TBH. But if I use my INTUITION AGAIN and after seeing PAC demolish ODLH I believe PAC beats JMM at 135,140 or 147lbs....

In fact I'm willing to bet my avatar or LIFE TIME ban with any of the true BLUE die hard JMM fans out there..

As they say.. "Put your money where your mouth is Amigo! :yep"

I agree. There lies the difference between the two. Pac has the power to KD Marquez who is in his weight class because of Pac's superior frame and muscle buildup, and his calves and thick legs as well. His power which is that of a welterweight is generated from his ripped torso and thick muscled legs. I think with the way Pac is improving in technical skills and carried over speed and power in the higher weights, Marquez can no longer withstand Pac's onslaughts as Marquez will further slowed down in 142. Remember Pac came in at 142 in the last weigh-in. He can comfortably slide down to 140. If ever they fight again, this will be decisive this time if both agrees to fight at l40.

I think there's any dilemma for Juan. The man can bide his time waiting for Pac by fighting Juan Diaz, David Diaz, and Nate Campbell while waiting for Pac, and when that match presents itself, he can jump up to 140 for a one time deal. By the time he goes 4-0 in those fights, he'll be an all time great.

why is jmm taking on juan diaz? the guy doesn't even have a legit title now and lost to nate campbell who is definitely the man @135 now. jmm should be fighting campbell instead rather than another GBP stablemate.

    Agreed.

Bad idea for JMM to chase Pacman at the higher weights. Also, even if the fight were to take place at 135 or maybe 140, i think Pacman has progressed noticeably since they last fought that he would win regardless. He's added the straight left and right hook into the mix. No longer just rushing in with his head open with the 1-2.

JMM can snap his fingers and get Nate Campbell in the ring and he will have the WBA, WBO, IBF, and Ring titles.

I don't understand why he doesn't do it.
