I think JMM and his team also saw PAc as a high risk foe that is why they never settled for 750k for a rematch... but they were so sure of winning over MAB that they readily accpeted it. I also think it won't happen, but that is becasue of the negotiations that can go wrong. Hopefully, this fight will materialzed. We will all benefit here. A potential FOTY just becasue of the fact that these two fighters never quit.
If this fight doesnt happen, JMM will be remembered as the man who could've handled PAC easily but didnt because he had bad managers. It will be remembered as a myth.
i think jmm's prob is that promoters (arum and maybe even GBP) don't really see him as PPV material who can draw crowds and can carry a fight card on his own. that may be the reason why jmm is still mired in sub-7 figure paydays even when he's matched vs. PPV stars like barrera. in contrast, pac is already a proven PPV star. when pac lost the first fight w/ erik and got 1.25M, arum still recognized that pac can also draw crowds and PPVs with his exciting style. that's why arum even offered pac more money (1.75M) for the second fight w/ erik despite that loss. and from then on, pac routinely makes millions in every fight no matter who his opponent is.
For an accountant such as JMM, he sure is not as smart as even the dumber Nacho. He is the fighter, he could have fired anyone when and if he wanted to, anytime.
I don't really know why some keep saying Pac would duck JMM when everyone knows who really won the first fight? Marquez should be grateful enough he had that mercy DRAW gift. If he really wanted to fight Pac right after the first encounter, he could have take it no matter what purse he may get, after all Pac is already the bigger name that time.
Uly.....Come on now man! Financially it was a MORONIC move on JMM part...but JMM wasn't concerned with the money homie...he was concerned with staying AWAY form a PAC fight after that gift draw he recv'd in their 1st fight. JMM was cool with that (gift draw)...it wasn't a loss and he could keep his titles. JMM tried to be smart by staying away from PAC which is smart if you don't want to loose, but JMM is a warrior and a boxer who shouldn't be afraid to get an ass whoopin. So I agree with it being a really stupid move financially, but he made the smart move in avoiding PAC which helped him hold on to his titles longer at the end of the day.
For BLACK its still made an excellent decision for JMM!:huh For BLACK, JMM was robbed on his fight with John. :yep For Black's scorecard it was JMM who won over PAC. Not a draw :hey For Black, if JMM fights Juan Diaz. It's still JMM who will prevail When it comes to BLACK JMM is the best. Too bad he might be the only one who thinks this way.. obviously, the word LOGIC does not exist for Black! He is blinded by JMM's GREATNESS:hey
I like it how the Pachuggers avoid posts where they are completely schooled, ignore questions but carry on as if those things didn't happen.
