No , Joe was at his peak. He threw a record high number of punches and even said himself he retired in his prime.

His mando was Chad Dawson , so he thew in the towel knowing that fight would be to hard for him.

Chad Dawson would be a hard fight for Calzaghe :lol::lol: Him who got outboxed by Jean Pascal :rofl:rofl

And he wasn't a mandatory either because he was IBF champ himself so stop trying to rewrite history.

tbf joe was post prime, as he had just achieved his greatest victory in his last smw fight, Kessler, a unification only 2 years previous.

he was just past prime, and clearly developed late since he went from minor title holder to improve to major title holder at age 34/35.

whereas someone like froch achieved major titles years before joe, and so its plain that he is a bit further down the road than joe was at the same age (but is as yet not running in terror from mandatories like joe).

How is Froch further down the road at 36 to what Calzaghe was at 36 :patsch.
What is Frochs biggest win in your opinion

Dawson wasnt a mando. Calzaghe didnt hold a legit title, he had a magazine title.
Not sure how you think he was worried about dawson? Calzaghe was a SMW champ, Dawson won a SMW, WBO belt of sorts(not world title) at SMW, then jumped up away from SMW to face fighters nearly 2 decades older than him at LHW, and then when Calzaghe retires, Dawson dropped back down to SMW

Dawson offered Joe the chance to win his IBF belt and was even willing to travel to Wales for the fight.
Joe had no interest. He had the opportunity to greatly improve his legacy and becaome a proper two weight champ but walked away instead after beating two old timers.

his biggest win is the same as joes but more clearcut. but you know this so why would you ask? you want to start your cut and paste shopworn Kessler **** , that's why? no one reads it.

Coke Sniffing Joe was actually a damn good fighter.

The shame is, on this forum he's treated like a top 15 atg.

It's mind boggling how overrated he is on ESB.

The most comical Calz comment I've ever heard on this forum was some ****** stating that Joe could have beaten Michael Spinks.

I didn't know whether to laugh, or cry.

Spinks was truly awful in that 90 second destruction at the hands of Iron Mike.
