This is the celebration thread for me, Zakman and everybody else who really hates Ruiz as a boxer and is overenjoyed to finally have him KOTFO for the first time since the Tua fight. Now he can go into retirement where he belongs. No more hug fests, gift decisions and endless undeserved title shots and eliminator fights. Than you Mr.Haye !!!!!!!

It's not a good fight to celebrate it - Ruiz showed great heart. Came to win, could have taken the payday after the KD but instead he was trying to win to the end, taking bombs, no huggin. He redeemed himself a lot to me.

Besides keeping fighting succesfully after being Tua'd like he was is an achievement itself. Can't blame him that much for being cautious after that, a lot would never enter the ring again or develop a mental block making any further success impossible, don't ya think?

    He should retire in peace.

Yeah John Ruiz redeemed himself to me. Never took a backward step, always game and really stuck to his new style. If he had fought like that his entire career he would be thought of a great deal more highly. I thouroughly enjoyed the fight and Ruiz played his part to the full.

I'm glad the yanks got to watch Hopkins - Jones instead :rofl

Oh STFU! Boxing fans have no class whatsoever, what a piece of ass the followers can be! Sorry, but I can't play it any kinder.

John Ruiz was down, hurt badly, hit behind the head and rocked several times, but kept on coming and putting on pressure all night. There was no quit in him, actually never was, and it was far from his old ugly stlye. He showed serious heart last night and now is the time to pay respect, instead what he gets?

"The John Ruiz KO celebration thread"

I never was in fond of Ruiz' style, but I can say it with all honesty: STFU!

Im English and was rooting for Haye but Ruiz fought well last night and should be applauded for it. He went down 4 and still didnt get KO'd. His corner pulled him out.

In other words it's a celebration thread for losers who won't give credit to a real fighter but spend their free time on the internet hanging off a play-fighter's nutsack.

I'm no fan of Huggy Bear, but he showed a shitload of courage against Haye.

At least he can now retire with some dignity.
