Whoever hates Ruiz as a person should jump off a building while lighting themselves on fire. Not the most talented fighter out there ok, not an exciting fighter ok, but Ive had the pleasure to meet Ruiz and he is one of the nicest guys youll ever meet. Undeserved title shots, maybe. But are you taking into consideration the hard work, the discipline and the determination he has always shown? And now please tell me who deserved them more and who has acomplished what John Ruiz has with very limited talent, athletic ability and punching power? Now lets look around at all these other guys with great talents but that cant get out of McDonalds and will probably never acomplish **** because they have 0 discipline. You cant question his heart and his work ethic and even if you dont like his fighting style you have to admire his acomplishments and if you dont you are an idiot and theres nothing anyone can do to change that.

Don´t know him as a person so I can´t hate him as a person. I hate him as a boxer. He has worked hard and been determined but so what? Lots of horrible people worked hard to get where they got so the point is moot. I dislike Ruiz as a boxer for his in ring tactics, which I consider to be pure rulebreaking and all the other stuff mentioned before by me and Zakman.

Well, he wasn´t knocked out and he lost before, so what the hell are you celebrating? The totally opposite would be true actually. A shot Ruiz made a prime Haye backing up and using illegal blows to beat him. That´s actually a reason to celebrate good ol´ Johnny.

Oh, and you are a smelly ****. :good

Ruiz is old school. Ali was far dirtier than Ruiz ever was.

If Ruiz is dirty what is Haye? Haye committed all of the fouls.

Props to both for a great Heavyweight fight.

I'd like to see Haye make Areola cry.

Given how many heavies have been given world title shots in recent years and showed no ambition whatsoever to win, especially after getting tagged for the first time, i really can't bring myself to celebrate Ruiz's defeat given that he came to win and never stopped trying even though he was getting badly beaten up and was almost stopped in the very first round. If more fighters came to the ring with the attitude and application he showed last night the heavyweight division wouldn't be in such a shocking state, and perhaps the Klits would have been forced into delivering the kind of perfomances worthy of heavyweight champions.

I agree. Ruiz certainly went up in my estimation last night. He's one hell of a tough m/f and deserves credit for the way he fought and the way he conducted himself both inside and outside the ring. Many fighters could do well to learn from his example

This wasn´t much of a fun celebration you spoilers who stood up for Ruiz :D

Well I´ll celebrate by watching the fight and enjoying Ruiz´s butt being kicked. And congratulations to my fellow Ruiz hater Zakman on finally getting to see Ruiz lose by KO.

Ruiz could have easily won this on a DQ. And if anyone wants to see huggin', watch Ruiz fight Golota.

    +1 :thumbsup

I think I was one of the only people there who cheered for both fighters when they came out. I've been aware of him for a lot longer than I have David Haye, so it was quite a big deal seeing him
