When will this guy ever fight someone who's not a complete and utter bum? World Champion? Having a ****ing laugh, he and Hearn are a disgrace to boxing
Quigg is actually a good fighter. He just gets a lot of slack for being a paper champion. It doesn't mean he is a bad fighter: if he was still a prospect instead of a 'champion' the perception would be a lot different.
Who would you match him in with then? let's see? Santa Cruz and Frampton don't want to know so who does that leave? Otake is top 10 in boxrec. Why do you have to talk about fighters in such a derogatory way?
Like said it's all about his paper belt, if they called him a contender nobody would **** on his opposition wich is pretty decent. The whole issue is that they try to sell him as a "World Champion", and that's why he gets so much crɑp. It's not just the nature of his paper belt, but how he got it and against who he "defended" it what makes him a target for fans that won't put up with that sh.t. If you just look at him as your run of the mill top 10 contender then it's a whole different story.
a lot of sense being pointed out on here...Quigg is excellent i love watching him,he has such a range of punches . hope is does end up fighting Rigo he is one of the only top fighters out there that wants that fight
Scott is one of the most professional sportspersons I've ever meet and for some wee internet warrior to slate him is so wrong
I like Quigg and think he's a decent fighter but his level of opposition since winning the belt has been frankly dross. He should fight Galahad on Channel Five for 400k in my opinion, a fight that he'd likely win now but perhaps not in 18 months time.
I still do not understand why on a British forum there is such ridicule and a lack of respect for a British fighter who seems like a decent young man.
We like the underdog, but when the underdog becomes a champ we then want to bring him down. I dont like it but it seems the way these days...
