Marlon Wilson… I’ll add Scrap Iron Johnson to the list! He was a pretty solid little heavyweight who just seemed to keep ticking on.
Of recent note Gabe Rosado 26-17-1 never won a title Maurice Harris when he wasnt getting his lights out out. Emanuel Augustus Marion Wilson as others have said for being ultra durable. Billy Douglas?
Man that Walcott guy, helluva fighter, can’t believe he almost spent obscurity as a Journeyman right up until he cleaned out the top 10 like few before him and won the title.
Boston lightweight Tommy Tibbs was the epitome of the term journeyman. Finished with a record of 60-77-4 and was matched with the world's best because he was known for going the distance, only being stopped 8 times in over 140 fights. But every so often, if you weren't keeping your eye on the ball, he would spring an upset. Held wins over Willie Pep, Lauro Salas, Harold Gomes, Paul Armstead, Johnny Bizarro and Larry Boardman.
Would Glen Johnson qualify for this Hall? He did spend a great deal of his career as a journeyman before teaming up w/ Orlando Cuellar & breaking out of that mold.
Dominick Guinn is this centuries greatest HW journeyman. He should be on the Mt Rushmore of HW journeymen.
