Who else thinks this division has gotten pretty ****ing stale. The champs Vernon Forrest - Damn this guy is a grandpa at 40, and not the good kind like bhop. His best days are way behind him. Hes recently beaten less then stellar opposition to obtain his title (including a robbery over quartey. Cory Spinks - Damn, the Ibf loves this guy. He keeps getting shots at their titles. Hes a good fighter tho, defensive wizard. Looks like his skills are fading tho. Daniel Santos - Pretty good fighter, but he fights pretty ****ing dirty with all those headbutts. so i personally dont like him. He has a good soutpaw left. Kind of old. Sergery Dziunrudik(sorry to hard to spell). Ive seen 2 of his fights. he looks pretty good. But i doubt he will ever fight any good fighters being in germany and all. This division looks for the taking. Not much excitment in it. The champs are horribly ****ing inactive, most fighting once a year or less. Other then spinks the rest of the belts are their for the taking. Too bad the most exciting prospect *kirkland* got himself arrested for some bull****. And angulo looks too raw. Who will be the savior of this terrible division???? :dead:dead:dead:dead:dead
jamie is a pretty good fighter. Id give him a good chance in getting any of the belts (except against spinks, way too slick and expereinced). He does not mark me as special though. He looks like a guy with limitations that can win a title and defend against decent oppsosition a few times before getting beaten by a better fighter.
Ryan Rhodes was talking about fighting for a world title next year. I'd give a good chance right now.
sucks? Forrest, Dzinziruk, Santos and Martinez are all hard men to beat. And ofcourse we have PW. Up coming fighters like Angulo, Kirkland(jailed.. but I doubt that will stop his career he's young), Martirosyan, Green and distant ones like Boo Boo Andrade. It does not suck mate.
It's not bad. No real marquee names but Forrest and Spinks whilst old and not very entertaining are still solid fighters. Santos is pretty exciting and a solid fighter. Dzinziruk is an excellent technician, and contrary to what you say he has fought some good guys including the aforementioned Santos and dangerous puncher Julio. Williams presence is still lurking around this division. The talents are okay, not elite talent but exciting fighters in Martirosyan Kirkland and Angulo.
That would be a good fight but he was saying he's fighting for the EU title then looking for a world title so it doesn't look likely.
yah, if 154 didnt suck, PW is still in that division i have no idea why boxrec ranked PW at jr middle
