In this thread we talk about how awesome Marquez is. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hv7zyil9QwQ[/ame]
I'm a fan. One of my favorite active fighters. Not too excited about him being Pacs next old punching bag but whatever.
im a fan also but would you rather him stay at GBP and fight the katsidis and diaz of the world rather than fighting pac in the biggest purse of his career?
Gives 100 percent every time, great resume, ATG technical skills, an overabundance in heart, and throws every perfectly thrown punch like he means it. If you dislike Marquez, you are not a boxing fan. For real. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdT-5-4cPTg&feature=related[/ame]
Despite looking at it like that why cant people consider it marquez' wel deserved final shot at pac for legacy and huge money. Nobody deserves it more than him, he was able to make the first 2 fights awesome, hopefully he will be able to do it now as well, if not then he atleast tried, he can always move to 140 and look for a fight with morales.
one of my favorite fighters of my lifetime. A great fighter and person overall. I was fortunate to meet him in person and he waited for everyone to get an autograph...Let him be, I dont think hes gonna look as bad as Mosley, Cotto, or Margarito did against Pac, hes actually gonna put up a fight.
what makes JMM so great is that his style makes it look so easy, I watch him fight and think with a few years of practice I could do do what he does, but realistically I won't be half the fighter he is with 10 years of training Guys like Floyd and Jones make their styles look impossible to imitate for the average fan. Props to Marquez amazing fighter
One of the few warriors remaining in the game. The mentality he shows in the ring and the value for money he gives, perfectly embodies what we love a out this sport. He can provide a boxing clinic from start to finish, get stuck in an all out war, or comeback from being knocked down himself to stopping the other guy. Brilliant fighter who seems to get better and better with age. No chance in hell he'll be that much of a walk-over for Pac.
He Wasn't Doin That To Floyd!! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McWVf2ekGy0[/ame] :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
I also love it when, after he's hurt or has just tasted he canvas, his mode of surviving is standing his ground and throwing well-intended punches of his own. Just by looking at his face as he walks back to te corner, you can see years of back-to-back written all over him. You get an image of a proper warrior-like veteran who's been there and done it all, but refuses to let all those tough nights get the better of him.
Tell me, how would Floyd react to climbing up almost two weight divisons to fight someone like Martinez at a catchweight of 156, but then be tricked by Martinez who comes in as his usual middleweight self instead?
