Fans don't score the way judges do their scoring which is on a per round basis with points 10-9 or less 1 point per knock down. Marquez may have landed the clear shots but he clearly lost the other rounds due to Pacman's work rate.
The writer scored it 115-113 for Pacquiao similar to what I scored.

That settles it then, I guess we can request the mods to delete every thread calling the result a disgrace.

Workrate isnt used in scoring a fight.

    a) Effective Aggression

    b) Defense

    c) Ring Generalship

    d) Emphasis on Clean Effective Punching

I had pac 2 rounds. Jmm landed the cleaner and crisper shots, but for every 3-4 shots pac landed was one good shot from jmm. I believe jmm slowed down on rnd 11 and 12, which had he turned the pace, he would have won. But then again I had castillo win by 1-2 rnds over floyd on their 1st fight.

There were a few rounds when Marquez scored the "stunning punches" and these
rounds are going to Marquez clearly .... but there is no more than 4 rounds like that.
The other rounds are these where PAC scored more say pity paty shots, and in these
rounds Marquez missed most of his shots as well. From that in CLOSE ROUNDS:

    a) EFFECTIVE AGGRESSION is going to PAC, because he delivered more
shots and was mostly initiating exchanges 1-0 PAC

    b) DEFENSE is going to PAC due to Marquez was missing most of his shots
while PAC is landing more (see stats from the rounds) 2-0 PAC

    c) Ring generalship ... Marquez footwork and his ability to stay away from
the canvas (say ring smarts) was amazing the whole fight even in the rounds
where PAC out-landed him, but also PAC ability to deliver and make Marquez miss
was good in the CLOSE ROUNDS do draw, PAC leading 3-1

    d) CLEAN effective punching ... is not what you can give to Marquez in rounds
when he did not land clean effective punches ... so draw and PAC leading 4-2

SO .... the most of the close rounds judges should score in favor of PAC ,
if there were 4 rounds clearly for JMM, two rounds clear for PAC there is
6 other rounds where PAC could take 4 and JMM 2 of them ... and the
best what Marquez could get was a draw.

In practice all 6 of these close rounds or most of them could go in favor
of PAC ... and that what exactly happen, you all can whine as much
as you want but Marquez has no clue how to beat PAC.

Marquez landed more clean effective punches throughout the whole fight easily.

Pac was the agressor, but his agression was uneffictive missing wildly and failing to cut off the ring. This ain't effective agression:

Ring Generalship is marquez. Just read the definition and it is self explainatory
“Ring generalship” comprises of such points as the ability to quickly grasp and take advantage of every opportunity offered, the capacity to cope with all kinds of situations which may arise; to foresee and neutralize an opponent’s method of attack; to force an opponent to adopt a style of boxing at which he is not particularly skillful."

Defense is Marquez since he made Pac miss at a higher percentage and flat out showed better defense

This is myth.... he landed no more than 5-6 CLEAN effective punches,
which stunned PAC. In other close rounds he did not land a squat or
PAC landed his own clan effective punches as well. All the love for Marquez
is due to these rounds where he really dominated and schooled PAc
with these good looking but rare punches.

you cannot accuse Marquez of better ring generalship in the rounds where PAC landed much more punches :huh he did not free or neutralize PAC in rounds where he did not land his beautiful stunning punches ....
in 'CLOSE' rounds ring generalship is going to PAC

that is myth too, Marquez was missing more punches than PAC the whole fight.

Work rate ? Since when is that actually a criteria for scoring boxing matches ?
