    The June 1894 Leonard–Cushing bout. Each of the six one-minute rounds recorded by the Kinetograph was made available to exhibitors for $22.50.[3] Customers who watched the final round saw Leonard score a knockdown.

    One is a fight. One is a respectful champion playing with an old time...

    AND STILL, Greb looks fantastic in his own way. Guys leading hooks to the body with their chins and telegraphing from the 17th century do not so much.

    In what way does he look fantastic here?

    The lunging in, the inability to prevent Jack cuffing him in close, the getting caught coming in low from a guy who truth be told probably fought a lot more like the first two fighters than a modern specimen.

    I’ve no doubt Greb was goofing around but I wouldn’t be so quick to sh1tcan other fighters whilst singing another’s praises sight unseen.

    Not very. IIRC, Leonard had a bit of a local following, but was nothing world class, I've never seen much on Cushing.

    I've never seen either come up in discussions of top fighters
