Pavlik/Miranda is one of my favorite fights, that fight hurts just watching it. I also loved how Lennox kept calling him Pelvic.

Bump for some more Pelvic love.

It's really rather sad. Just a few short years ago this thread would have ran 20 or more pages.

He was one of the best fan friendly fighters you can get! I hope he can do something else. Miranda and Taylor were AWESOME FIGHTS! :bbb

When Kelly is on his "A-Game" he is one of the most TV friendly fighters I've seen since Danny "Little Red" Lopez retired.

Brings great action but I have no reason to believe he can successfully come back.

Especially in a mw division ruled by martinez and a smw division ruled by ward.

He's been irrelevant too long unfortunately.

I hope he finds peace though. He was a warrior.

I do feel he could have achieved more but he's left it too late now for me. I'm not even sure i'd favour him over chavez at 160 any more.

One moment of petulance isn't the ideal way for him to go out but i'm not overly sure where he can go.

Even if Kelly makes a strong comeback he'll never achieve as much as he could have achieved had he made better choices. He's lost to much time out of his peak physical years. He's not an aging pugilist hoping to miraculously roll back the hands of time, but this problematic era came from age 27 thru age 29. Those are years he can't reclaim.

When I seen Kelly a about a month and a half ago! He didnt look no 190. Dont get me wrong he had a baggy BROWNS T shirt on but He is only 1 inch taller than me(Kelly is 6"2) and he looked about 175 . Which I weigh 165 and he didnt look Much bigger than me.

If he seriously Quits drinking, he could make 160 and fight for a Title right away! BUT. If He wants to fight 168 (Heard a rumor he might even jump up to LHW) He would be a fight for every person is the Division.

In a recent interview KP said he has been working out regularly. If he's walking around at 175 or so, he's back to his old (middleweight) walking around weight.

There are a bunch of good fights for him at 160. Chavez jr, Pirog, Sturm, et. Furthermore, I don't care what the majority of posters claim about Martinez. The guy is good, but ridiculously over rated. Pavlik on his "A-Game" stops Martinez in the middle rounds. He could rule the roost at 160 again, IF he can make the weight in a healthy fashion.

Us Pavlik fans all know martinez got lucky. Dibella, And martinez knows THEY got lucky! Dibella said "You could see the Tired in his eyes" (At the Weigh inn.) If Pavlik would have had a full 8 weeks camp and didnt have to drop 20 pounds the week of fight. It would have been over in the Middle rounds Back then!

Pavlik could beat Chavez, Sturm RIGHT NOW. Pirog is one tough guy! Would give Pavlik problems IMO Right now. But a focused Pavlik Beats him to!

If Pavlik makes 160! Do you think Martinez Will Decline a rematch? FOR THE 3rd TIME???

I have no idea what Martinez would do. My gut says he'd vacate the so called "Diamond Belt" and claim he is a light middleweight.

I'd love to see a bigtime Pavlik comeback.

Fan friendly knockout style, working class hero stuff - that's what boxing is all about.

All the best to the fella.

I would love to see him work with some other trainers. He has not really improved in 6 or so years. He's the same fighter..... He needs to add to his arsenal!
