    maybe.

but as a fan that you are (of boxing, not pavlik)...did you think mosely was done when, over that six fight period, he lost 4, one NC and his one win was debatable?

i'm not trying to be cute here, that's an honest question.

I thought he was done at the elite level. Its debatable how elite Margarito is/was.

But its a bad comparison tbh as Mosley is far better than Pavlik. He had far more potential for a comeback. I dont see Pavlik beating anyone in the top 5 from middle to LHW.

Kelly Pavlik was a great cinderella story but he's finished as a top fighter.

i wasnt comparing the fighters or circumstances. i was just pointing out that crazier things have happened. kelly is only 28, has always trained his ass off and fought his heart out. mosely was outclassed by two guys he was never going to beat no matter how many times they fought. he did come back to win the ww title. you are right about margo...but the fact still remains. if kelly is motivated he can hang w/ anyone in the division outside of ward and bute and what is the shame in that?

you may tell me how stupid that is b/c you can name five others that would stop him. well i disagree about that. i think he's even money with the version of kessler we've seen his last 4 fights, froch (i'm a fan now), dirrell (arthur eventually found him and knocked him down though it wasnt scored, kelly has to much heart not to find him as well), and would beat a lot of the other contenders. he can still win a legit title. everyone who said he's done at the elite level didnt consider him elite in the first place.

Don't wast your time with "Godfather." That guy is a long time Pavlik hater, just like pretty much everyone else who made idiotic comments on this thread. White guy knocks out a black undisputed champ, and haters are his destiniy.

Pavlik is working out and running on a daily basis. He's also working out at South Side Boxing 3 times a week.

May 7th is still a little over 3 months away, so I don't expect them to announce an opponent for another week or two.

There was a small local news conference yesterday. At the moment Pavlik is a muscular 192 pounds. He's confident he'll fight on May 7th, but they do not have an opponent locked in.

Kelly is working out at the YMCA, running, and working out at South South Side Boxing. He said he will enter a full blown camp 8 weeks out from May 7th even if they still do not have an opponent locked in.

I'm rooting for Kelly Pavlik! Kelly Pavlik the WBC #1 Contender! Pav has a new motto for 2011: Knocking suckers out! Carl Froch is the main target.
