i keep reading how kelly claims the booze didnt affect his boxing/training/performance even in his losses. i think this can be viewed two ways. for one he's not making excuses when he could but it also may be a bit worrying that he went to rehab for booze but won't say it affected his craft. dunno what to make of this really.

It's not unusual to see a certain amount of residual denial in the newly sober. It takes a lot more than 3 months to see the whole truth.

Yea man I've always been a fan of The Ghost, but he frustrated the **** out of me and I blame Lowe at least with the direction his boxing career has taken. I know Pavlik's a grown man should take care of his own problems, but if you know something isn't working you have to go back to the drawing board. I'm not sayin shazam! he'll become better over night, but he knows what's holding him back and take care of that problem. He seriously needs to put Loew on the sidelines because his career is at stake and if Loew is really a friend of Pavliks he needs to step aside. The way I see it they just want to cash in on him and don't give a **** about him. No improvements, didn't take the help Hopkins offered, NADA.

In my opinion a non weight drain undefeated Taylor would have beat Pavlik in the first fight.

Lmao @ Pavlik would eat Cloud. You're a biased idiot in a huge way booradley.

Man i'll say this i like that Pavlik is saying this cause hee's not making excuses like the rest of biased Pav fans has been saying as to the reason why Pavlik lost to Hopkins and Martinez.

The WBC works now like a promotion company. No real rules anymore, just feelings.

I hope Pavlik comes back strong. For him first and because it would shut some haters up.

saying that kelly's "a" game would beat cloud isnt a stretch. yeah he would throw flashy and pretty looking flurries against johnson but many werent all that effective and johnson was landing a basic 1-2 with frequency. kelly's only loses are against guys who don't get hit with that and tavoris does.

additionally, it was clearly more of a moral victory for big z rather than a statement performance for tavoris that fulgencio actually went the distance with him.

tavoris cloud is nothing special. at least not yet.
