I'm on board for the comeback and wish him the best. Stay clean an focused Pav. How far he goes, I do not know, but there's a lot of talent @ 168.

Cmon Kelly... If this guy can back to where he was for the Miranda and Taylor fights he can give anyone hell at 168.. This guy was on such a tear from Zuniga through the Taylor fights. It wasn't hard to tell that this wasn't the same fighter after that, anyone saying otherwise is just a hating ass dude.. So lets go Kelly, get back on that horse..

We still do not have an opponent. He said he absolutely doe not want a "tomato can." He wants a rugged, durable fighter with a winning record. I'd prefer Marcus Johnson over Bryan Vera, but Vera is the name that keeps popping up.

Vera seems like a very tough opponent. I saw his last fight & he brings it. If Kelly is sharp, Vera will walk right into a 1-2 & he'll be done.

All we can hope is that KP stays dedicated, even more than ever, & he should be OK, whether is Bute, Froch or whoever in the near future.

I'd like to see Pavlik come back and do well. He seems a good guy and gives the fans good fights. But he's been exposed against intelligent boxers with good lateral movement and I can't seem him overcoming his limitations.

192-193 all the way down to 160 is a ***** for sure but the same starting weight getting down to 168 is still no joke especially for his first fight back. i wouldnt mind seeing it at 170-172.

He has to dump his trainer. He should have trained with Hopkins. Hopkins was absolutely right when he said he needed to learn to fight black, that is what he's missing as a fighter. I think going up in weight will definitely be a healthy move, should have more energy and strength.

There are 3 names under consideration for May 7th.

Bryan Vera who we are all familiar with.

Joey Spina who knocked out Jesse Brinkley in a fight Spina was losing badly. Spina later got stopped in 3 rounds by Manfredo. He's racked up several wins since then, but the only name I recognize is 100 year old Antwun Echols. Zuniga scored a wide UD over a younger fresher Echols.

The leading candidate is undefeated (21-0) Alfonso Lopez. I do not think this kid is ready for this kind of fight. Here's his Box Rec page.
