Serious question. What is your background to judge trainers? I've seen Jermain Taylor ignore Steward. I've seen Kelly Pavlik ignore Jack Loew. The fighter has to make the call in the ring and does for the most part. I urge you to try and get a copy of the Lyle/Duddy fight. Jack is near the announcers and you can damned near hear everything he says during the course of the fight. You won't hear 'double the jab' once.

He did a damn good job with Lopez. I've watched that fight six times, mostly due to all the wacky comments and scores I read on ESB, et. That was not a close fight, not close at all. Any score card that read 100-90 to 98-92 can be justified. This close fight stuff is non sense.

People need to remember this was a come back fight, Kelly can still compete with the best at SMW. Just give the guy some time to shake of the ring rust and i guarantee he can win back his belt.

its not just the last 13 months he's coming back from...its the last few years. no staph, no booze (which probably didnt help in the staph healing process).

    he can do this.

There is a really good Jack Leow interview floating around out there in cyber space. According to Jack the plan is a fight in August or early September, and then go for a title shot in December of January. Check your PMs.

good lookin' out boo. that is a good piece. i know kelly said in an interview on the scene to "bring on froch and bute," but it seems jack is taking the one step at a time approach. i like that.

It's a much smarter move- just get him in against someone in the top 30, top 25 in the next 2-3 months to continue sharpening things up, and take it from there. It was only the last few rounds against Lopez that I could really see him shake the rust off, I'd really like to see him take another fight to keep that going before he steps in against Froch or Bute.

Bute-Pavlik is a fight I would love to see. That or Martinez-Pavlik rematch.

I totally agree and i'm not really a Pavlik fan (I don't dislike him tough). I've read things about the lopez fight that I did not see with my eyes. Fact is : people were ready to diss Pavlik before the fight and chose to diss him anyway after the fight because he didn't KOed the guy.
