Pavlik looked like a rusty gate in his last effort.Another fight or two against so so opposition is required before taking on the big boys.

Sakio Bika and Winky Wright are both talking about Pavlik. Winky is just talking. If he wanted to fight KP, he would have done it a long time ago. He's has had at least a dozen opportunities stretching all the way back to 2004.

Bika is probably serious. Personally, I really dislike Bika. The man has a screw loose, and if I were a manager or trainer I would not put my fighter in the ring with him.

Kessler may opt to fight Stieglitz rather than Bute. That would leave Bute in need of a fall dance partner. Kelly needs one more tune-up quality fight before he fights a quick southpaw who hits like a freight train.

I posted a thread about it from Fight news. You never no what Bika would do! He is dirty. I would favor Pavlik in an All Out Brawl, but he definitly needs to Get something signed before BUTE is free, there is no sense in Fighting BUTE next.

If BUTE is free because Kessler Signs to fight Stieglitz (which I believe He will). Then im almost Positive Pavlik will Fight BUTE for the simple fact he Said He wanted a Big fight with BUTE/Froch. Unless he wants to hear more Bull**** for not fighting him, thats what he will do. SOOOOO he needs to sign something quick, I dont wanna see Kelly in that situation!

I look for Stieglitz to avoid Kessler and hope he goes away and gets another title removing him as mandatory.

I want Pavlik vs Kessler next. This fight makes the most sense. But most Pavlik fans rather see Pavlik fight Abraham who's really on a 3 fight losing streak in big fights. (His tune up win before facing Ward doesn't count to me).

So, according to the polls on this site Kelly always would lose to Abrhammerthemwhentheyaredown. Then and now. What's the big deal? Oh, I know, you think Kelly would come away with the W.....

i've always wanted to see pavlik kessler. kessler looked great the other night and i'm glad he's recovered from the eye injuries. he's always been a favorite of mine.

kelly may have said he wants froch or bute in that article on the scene but loew was singing a different tune in another article. if i recall correctly, loew had mentioned a manfredo type guy. i would like to see that just to be sure the rust is gone, then go after the big fight. i know kelly is a competitor and wants to get there already but he's had a rough couple years out of the ring which did him no favors in the ring. no need to rush this.

Ya think Abraham would be a good tune up fight? Or is AA too inactive to be of much use in this matter?:think

well he's certainly not going to move much, that's for sure. i just want to see the timing continue to get dialed in as it clearly was at the end of the lopez fight.

Pavlik was slightly sloppy on his last fight, but inactive AA could equalize the fight.

I think Alfonso Lopez is one of those "wait and see" type of fighters. We'll have to wait and see what he does in the future. He obviously has a good chin. His hand speed isn't bad, and he showed flashes of being a pretty smart fighter. I like to see him move back to 175, and go after Cloud.

At this point Pavlik/Abraham is a non-starter. It's a completely useless fight. Pavlik would shread Abraham, and get zero credit for it. As an avid fisherman I prefer to think of this fight as "the big one that got away."

Forget Manfredo. It's to easy of a fight, and would not benefit KP in any way.

For developmental reasons I like Pryor jr. Pryor jr has the right style to force Kelly to do some things he's not always comfortable doing, but it is a very winnable fight.

Do you remember any Pavlik supporters taking a lot of heat for suggesting AA's height/reach was a severe disadvantage against taller/longer fighters that would stay at distance should he step up in class? :think

The term "midget" seems to ring a bell.
