I love watching the guy fight and I'm on board but wish like hell he would get a first class trainer. I think Roach would do him some good, hell I even think Teddy atlas would do him some good....oh well.

i've been saying what i've been saying about getting the timing down on his right following his lead left for a reason....this is why

i just watched his fights v. zertuche, miranda and taylor. his left is just as effective as it was against lopez. the only difference is that in those fights his left was thrown after the right. now, fighters have read the book on him and are neutralizing the right hand and making him throw the lead left like lopez did. its a different style of fighting when your money shot is following what used to be your follow up shot. now that devastating right needs to follow the left instead of vice versa. if he can get that timing down, he's going to be a force. bet that.

lopez would have been stretched bad if that right would have followed fluidly behind the left lead he was throwing. i have a feeling that will get worked on and kelly will be laying people out again. hell, he beat an undefeated lhw with his left hand in his last fight.

:good He barely Threw that right hand!!!! That counter Left hook followed by the Straight Right would have KO'd Lopez the 3 times he stunned him!

You guys talking about Kelly following the lead left hook with a hard right hard are correct. He's not doing that. He did not do it in sparring either. In the sparring vids I saw he used the right hand so little that I thought there might be something wrong with it.

In the Lopez fight there were long stretches where KP looked like a one-handed fighter. There were also a bunch of times when KP just beat the living **** out of Lopez with nothing but a hook and a jab.

I'd like to see him simply reverse the order of the classic 1-2-3. Instead of jab - right hand - left hook, throw a left hook, a right hand, and follow with a good stiff jab. Like Doobie said, he'd be laying suckers out one right after the other if he polished up a 3-2-1.

Interesting observation. Everyone has been putting it down to ring rust and timing. Or maybe just working on that aspect of his game a little? Why take it ALL out of the bag and show it if you don't have to? The left certainly is very important to his success. Remember Donaire thinking he could go a whole fight south paw? Finally had to turn around and step on the gas.
