He will get knockout if he face Froch or Bute.

Absolutely. Pavlik has a LOT going for him and always gave us fans good, entertaining fights. I loved the bouts against Miranda and then Taylor. Excellent champion. It's never nice to see a guy with as much class as him go down the route of substance abuse, so I hope that chapter of his life can be closed and he can move forward, hopefully back into the middleweight division where, hopefully, he can rule again, if Martinez is a 154lber now.

I never, ever thought he was "dead meat" fighting Miranda. In fact I thought making Miranda a 2-1 favorite was lunacy.

All these guys who claim Pavlik can't do anything at 168 are either silly, or they don't know much about recent boxing history. Of the original six participants in the Super Six 4 of them made their names by beating Pavlik's left overs, or fighters who were not as good as Pavlik's left overs.

The two exceptions were Jermain Taylor, who lost to Pavlik twice in two different divisions, and Mikkel Kessler, who's big claim to fame was a loss to Calzaghe.

These guys did not get better just because they joined a tournament and made fights with one another.

Top Rank's hall of fame match maker Bruce Trampler appeared on a Youngstown Radio show today along with Jack Leow. Pavlik will be back on May 7th, at 168, against a "quality opponent." They did not give any names, so who the **** knows what they might try to pass of as a "quality Opponent."

I think we can assume it will be someone at least as good as Brian Vera. In addition, there are a butt load of guys at 168 who are undefeated, but have extremely padded records.

If Pavlik is not motivated to beat alcohol now and become champ again, with all the good possibilities waiting for him at 168, then he'll never be motivated.

So many big fights for him out there if he could get things together. I wish him the best.

if his head is right and he is motivated, he is going to be a handful. team pavlik will answer both in the positive but until he gets in the ring, we won't know which kelly pavlik walked out of rehab.

this isnt some 35 year old fighter coming off a string of ko losses trying to reach back in time. he's 28, has always trained his ass off and come to fight and is still strong as a bull. it would be foolish to simply write him off.
