The Kelly Pavlik Come Back Express: Who's on board?

The word out on the street in Y-Town is that he is very motivated, just keeping low key. Hopefully the monster will be back.

 

He almost lost to Spinks who is a natural welter. He should have won that fight easy, but he struggled badly.

 

Mostly any fighters will look bad fighting Spinks in which it wasn't easy. Style wise i knew that fight would be close.

 

Yea in which case you don't know sh4t since you never gave Martinez a chance to beat Pavlik but once he did i knew you will make ******ed excuses in which i owned you badly. I would love to see it, he was exciting in his run to the top and it would be nice to see him coming back from personal struggles.

I am doubtful however. Pavlik was a very strong middleweight but he won't be bullying the best at 168. I don't believe his skillset is going to improve under Loew. Ward has already beaten Kessler, who was similar to Pavlik in style, only slightly better. Froch would be a very difficult opponent for Pavlik, same with Bute.

As much as I was a fan of him and would love to see him make a great comeback, I don't think its in him. He's checked out...

he reads what is said about him. to that end, he should be motivated by all the people in the media and on sites like this cracking juvenile alcoholic jokes and otherwise hating him for no real good reason (other than the obvious and unspoken)

When I said that, I prob was referring to the general consensis on this forum. I was worried leading up to the Miranda fight, but after the 1st round, the way KP bullied him, I relaxed & enjoyed the show!

@ the 1 minute mark...that right hand he dropped Zertuche with will KILL Bute, should they meet. I'm about 5'9" these days (shrinking with age) & I stood chest to chest with Bute in a crowded Graziano's Restaurant at the Hall of Fame & he was only slight bigger than me! Pavlik will knock this buys head off...

BTW, while at Graziano's that night, Bert Sugar invited me to sit down at the table he was at with a few others. We must havetalked a 1/2 hr before he got up & mingled.

Very COOL. We're planning going back to Canastota this June.
