    Bs. Pavlik fought 3 more fights at mw after the Taylor rematch. If Pavlik was weight drain then he wouldn't be fighting 3 more times at mw right?

    Are you not worried that in several interviews he has flat out denied that alcohol had a negative impact on his boxing career?

    that was my knee jerk reaction as well...but then again, if he did lay blame for everything on the booze he would come off as trivializing his opponents' performances (hopkins and martinez). damned if you do damned if you don't.

    No, not really. I've been in recovery for over 2 decades. I assure you it is not unusual for people who are new to recovery to have no clue how much the booze really affected their lives.

    Yeah, but isn't that also part of the reason why most alcoholics relapse?

    I am not looking for a problem. I just think there are more important things in life at the moment for him than boxing. Beating alcoholism would be more of an achievement then anything he could do in boxing
