I first met him in '85 or so (I think he'd just started as a commission inspector) and hated him. I have to admit, I was wrong. He will never replace my man Richard Steele (we were both on the same military boxing team), but he is consistently good.
"work out! work it out! work it out, work out! work out!" Bayless is very consistent But im still a little sad he stopped the cotto pacquiao fight in the 12th
best ref in the business right now indeed, or ever actually. I can't recall him making a single mistake.
I was working a corner and Kenny was there and seemed to be acting like a total jerk. I now realize he was actually being very conscientious and his seemingly hyper-focused attention was just his way of doing things. In short, he seemed like a dick, but was just doing his job.
For anyone who does'nt know, aswell as being a fine referee, Mr Bayless also overcame cancer a few years ago too. I found this out in a great article in boxing monthly. Respect to Kenny.
I like the man. There isn't anything the STANDS WAY OUT about him, but he is great. He's very text book and that is what makes him great. This content is protected
