Eh, what ever the hell. I don't care who he fights, Miranda sounded fun as hell. I just wish he/Team Palle understood that Americans such as myself had become interested in him with all that happened in the last year, and it's hard to stay interested if he don't get his ass in gear and do SOMETHING.

FFS, Calz is only a few weeks away from fighting, winding down camp etc.. and Kess has yet to even sign a deal. Just fight somebody already, and don't screw over major US networks and promoters Di Bella Entertainment or it will be hard indeed to get a good welcome when/if he does decide to persue American interests again.

Kessler has said he wanted to retire in 3 years or so...he thinks he's only fighting another 6 fights...

So...I guess he wants to make each and every one count a lot.

Someone like Bute, for example, is going for the longevity, slow and steady route that Calzaghe went, it seems. He says he sees himself boxing for another 10 years...

So...if he fights three times a year and only one of those fights is very good, he will count himself happy, I guess.

The speculation is solid enough, but it isnt the whole matter.

What people is questioning is the soundness of the valuation that Palle is doing.
Especially if, as it seems the titlematch is (again) against Mundine.
A title or a way to obtain it - cannot possibly be more worthless. It is, titleshot or not, not the proper way to maintain the "name" of a boxer.

Even though its good to be the king I guess most people (boxingfans) know the valeur of that exact WBA throne! they really need to change that sub-**** system.

Most (Me too) just feel that the real cred was in another direction, not necessarily meaning Miranda!

Another matter is of course to what extent it will discredit Kessler to the american mainstream audience, hmm.. I cant make up my mind whether I find that argument valid.

Title fight or not Mundine is higher on the list than Miranda. I know and agree that this whole Miranda thing has hurt Kessler to a lesser degree to the US audience.

Personally I don't really care, what the US audience generally thinks - those who knows what goes on beyond the border of USA knows that Mundine has both improved since last and is a far more skilled opponent than Miranda.

That said, Palle team has carried themselves rather unprofessionally - and he should have taken on both with 3 months between.

I sincerely hope that Kessler isn't serious about that ****. If it is so then...

    1) Mundine
    2) Bute
    3) Pavlik
    4) Dawson
    5) Calzaghe II
    6) Calzaghe III

Calaghe will retire this year, DanePugilist. He wants to go out at the top, with his "0" intact.;) There will be no Kessler II...nevermind a Kessler III.

    Best case scenario for Mikkel:

    1. Mundine
    2. Wright
    3. Taylor
    4. Bute
    5. Dawson
    6. Pavlik

...but 6 fights is really unrealistically little...he needs at least 10...I'm not sure what he's thinking...:-(

    More realistically:

    1. Mundine
    2. Winky
    3. Taylor
    4. Bute
    5. Bute II

    ...retirement...:verysad :-( :verysad :-( :verysad

    :D
