Calzaghe will not retire until he fights Kessler again in either Denmark or US in was in small print in the first contract:lol::lol::lol:.

Calzaghe has said he would retire 100s of times, only to pull yet another out his sleeve.

I seriously hope that Wright isn't a serious option. Why Taylor? He doesn't even have any kind of markability anymore. I would much rather have he fought Erdei as a dangerous build up for Dawson.

Hell, better yet, after Mundine, he should fight Pavlik - after that he can chose whoever he wants for big money - maybe Manfredo.

Pavlik doesn't have a belt? ;) If Kessler wants to fight Pavlik, let him get himself ranked at 160.

Here we go again. 168 calling out 160. Tyson86 pointed out the grief you guys gave Taylor fighting 152's. Now he is in the 'troll thread' for his efforts of pointing out the double standard. I guess I'm working my way there too. :yep

Taylor is a big MW - who picks on smaller guys. Both sizewise and weightwise.

It's all a bout styles...Kessler has never faced a dangerous puncher like Miranda. It's not a foregone conclusion...Although I do believe Kessler can dismantle Miranda, he still needs to prove his worth in the ring.

There might be a catch in it. Kessler still wants to fight Miranda at some stage. Going about it the way Palle does for the moment
supposedly leave Kessler with a title. Then planning a future Miranda-Kessler bout would allow Palle to make the calls. Palle wants as much control as possible IMHO.

Dream on, Kessler was the challenger, why would a challenger loss mandate a rematch.

    Never

    Going

    To

    Happen

And I'd bet it would not be hard to find over 100+ posts that say Kessler is a huge SMW that would do well at 175.:yep

It's not about mandate, it's about getting the two biggest crowds together in a big fight with the two best boxers from 160-175 - In case you are american - it's a moneymaker, which is something you should understand.

Sure, but neither Pavlik nor Taylor are smaller in size.

So Kessler isn't a legit 168? The only way Pavlik moves up is a shot at Calzaghe's belts. That way he can leave MW with belts in hand. But, Arum has him planned out till the end of this year.

Pavlik will stay at 160 as long as he can. He is the monster of the midway. MAYBE AA would have a chance against him, but there is no other real threat on the horizon right now is there? So even weight drained he can stay and become 'legend' as dominating his division and get mentioned in the same breath as other MW greats. Powerful motivation to make weight.

Fail at humor? Get more out of your cave, caveman. Besides - Kessler can't make 160.

Other than AA, there isn't anyone at 160 to make him legend, and AA is not enough. Legends aren't those who stay at an easy division; they move up and fight the best in the next division, which would be Kessler since Calzaghe is moving up to 175.
