And Cash_718? Take your hatred to another thread, dude. It's so obvious all you want to do is discredit any non American fighter, first "Kessler is a bum", second "Calzaghe didn't beat Hopkins and Hopkins is old anyway" - an Old Hopkins just tore the Middleweight champion apart, couldn't do that to Calzaghe and got out-hit by Calzaghe, like it or not, It happened, GET THE **** OVER IT. Kessler was impressive in this performance but he still doesn't beat Calzaghe. Calzaghe has every advantage over Kessler in my view, he's faster with his hands, he has far better footwork, is far better defensively and has a bigger array of punching ability... a second fight, if Calzaghe was motivated, would just be a bigger blow out. Hopkins vs Kessler would be closer than Pavlik vs Kessler, Kessler's defense is far better and he knows how to use his reach better than Pavlik, but Hopkins still tears Kessler apart. Master boxers beat Great Boxers. What most people don't realise is Hopkins and Calzaghe are master boxers and would give anyone in history a run for their money 160 through 175. "Oh but you're over-rating them" - Shut the **** up, when you beat the names both of those guys have beaten and you do near 20 years in the sport with the level of wins they've had, then talk, you ignorant little ****.
I was there, have it on tape, and seen it about 10 times. How many times have u seen it and analysed it?
Hey ******* I'll take my hate WHERE EVER the **** I please. And just cause it's negative against "your" fighter you are getting all up tight. If Calzaghe never fought Kessler you wouldn't even have clicked on this ****in thread. ANd I never said Kessler was a bum and Calzaghe got beat by an OLD Hopkins. Take your Calzaghe(and Calzaghe opponents) dick riding to another thread. Who beating what names?? I hope you ain't talkiin about Kessler......... or Calfaggi for that matter.
And how dare you call Kessler a GREAT boxer. What has he done in nearly 40 fights to be considered a GREAT boxer??? That's an insult to the great boxers of the past. But you wouldn't know anything about them because you just started watchin boxing this year when you saw Calzaghe fightin and you thought he was cute and you liked the way he slapped.
Hopefully now he can start to really start with the big fights in the division. Winner of Froch-Pascal, Bute, maybe Taylor....I think he should try and pick up a couple more belts and move up to LH, challenge Dawson.
That was a pretty swell KO. Kessler is a beast. I don't see who can top him at SMW other than Bute potentially and Taylor potentially.
No he hasn't. He very rarely throws more than three punches in a combination and never throws arm punches, his punches have generally been set up by a double jab, then a right hand and if he feels he can manage, a left hook. He's conservative with his combinations, which is why his defense is good despite his bad footwork. Learn your ****. Uh, Unified titles? Beaten everyone he's ever faced except Calzaghe without dropping a round? Beaten several of the Top 10 Ring rated fighters in his division? Like I said, learn your ****, you useless little wart.
Here is what Team Kessler hopes for (and it's official) I'll try my best to translate: "We hope our next move will be a flight across the atlantic to meet Hopkins, but everything is put on hold until after the Calzaghe - Roy Jones Jr. match on November 8th. We hope that Calzaghe wins, cause if Jones wins they'll definately set up a rematch between Jones and Hopkins. But If Calzaghe wins Hopkins vs Jones is out of the question. Then Hopkins will go after Calzhage but he'll have no interest in boxing him again and then Hopkins will find himself alone. That could open up the possibilities of a Hopkins vs Kessler fight."
Hopkins is the wrong guy for Kessler to go after. In my opinion Kessler needs to do what Calzaghe did at 168, unify it - then look at stepping up and taking on Dawson. Hopkins vs Kessler is just another beating waiting to happen for Kessler.
I have never seen Calzaghe as motivated incl. the Lacy fight, as he was against Kessler, so what are you on about? Sure it is likely that Calzaghe will beat him in a rematch if he finds the same motivation. But lets take Calzaghes word for this: "I am not getting any younger, and Kessler is only getting better".
Sauerland was just interveiwed to German press and he said: "I cannot fathom how Kessler could loose to Calzaghe. I am sure that if they fought five times, Kessler would win the four."
