There's been a lot of people mouthing off about how Calzghe is gonna pummel Kessler on Nov. 3(Calzaghe is a hell of a fighter so I can see why so many people are picking him). However, I have alot of faith in Kessler. I think he's etrememly underrated fighter(Dan Rafael has Margarito ranked ahead of him in his p4p rankings). Come Nov. 3 he will be underrated no more as he rains on Calzaghe's parade in front of his fans. So who's with me? Who else is picking the Viking Warrior strip away Calzaghe's "0"?
Since when does a paced fighter overwhelm a swarming fighter who's entire game is overwhelming his opponent and making him fight his fight. Calzaghe TKO 9, brutal one sided beatdown.
How can you be so sure that Calzaghe will win by stoppage when he wasn't able to stop neither Lacy nor Bika? Do you expect Kessler do recieve a bigger beating than Lacy? Kessler has never been stopped in his entire career (including amateur), and he has only been knocked down once, which happened at age 18 or 19 in an amateur fight that he eventually won by stoppage. The only way I can see Calzaghe win by stoppage is if Terry O'Connor is referee. But if you are so sure that it will be a stoppage what about an avatar bet then?
Kessler is indeed underrated and 3. November he will win a close UD and in round 3 Calzaghe will be knocked down and get up again. I expect great things from both men!
**** that! I don't care how . . . I want Kesller to win just to shut the mouths of a lot of his nut huggers here. :rofl DAMN this board has been flooded by ****i'n Calzaghe, Calzaghe, Calzaghe . . . Calzaghe threads for over three months now. . . with the same bullcraps. :-( :bart
Based on what ? Kessler's generic win over a very-timid Anthony Mundine ? Who happens to be his best opponent by about a MILLION miles. Or have you based that on his COMPLETE lack of adaptability and a style that is TAILOR MADE for Calzaghe. Kessler's very rigid, stands very upright and leads in with an admittedly very strong jab and then a very good straight right hand which indeed has power. But whats that going to do when the person in front of you is so much faster and will swarm and shoot off with 3 punches before you can let even 1 off ? The Lacy fight showed me that fighting on the inside, Calzaghe is virtually unbeatable. In no way is Kessler going to even attempt that. So whats he going to do then ? Stay on the outside behind his jab for the whole fight ? Ok...he could do that, but Kessler got tagged several times hard by Mundine in the early rounds, whats he going to do against someone who's much faster, more experienced and has pintpoint accuracy punches comming in at speed - not only for the first 3 rounds like Mundine but can do it all fight. If you want a small demonstration of what Kessler's style vs Calzaghe's will be then go watch Calzaghe vs Mario Veit fights. Kessler and Veit are almost identical style wise, granted Kessler does his stuff a lot better but at the end of the same day, better he may be, he's still doing the same stuff. I understand you guys might be fans of kessler and all that, thats fine. But use logic, and not your heart. I wanted Oscar to beat PBF so much, but back of my mind was telling me otherwise. Do the same thing, and keep your money from the bookies.
I look forward to big fights, I cannot wait for Hatton/Mayweather, but I have almost no interest in this fight as I do not see anything other than an easy win for Calzaghe. Sorry but I do not think your guy has a chance as he is far too slow for Calzaghe.
