Yeah that's what they all say. That's what Oscar said to Marquez before the fight, exactly the same way in your title. There's no key for Shane to win, he can't he just needs a good performance to get that respect he wants. But as for winning, all these Floyd haters should get their excuses ready.
Exactly. Mosley's jab was the best I've ever seen it in the Margo fight. He wasn't just using it as a range finder. He was proping Margo up with stiff jabs to the body all night. That had Nazim's training written all over it. Only problem is that Mosley eats waaaayyyy to many jabs, always has. Nazim has to get Shane to move his head more and especially to get off first. JMM landed more nice flush right hands than I previously thought. I wanna see how Floyd responds to Shanes bombs.
At this stage Floyd is just too far ahead of mosley in tems of boxing. Whatever Mosley does Floyd will adjust and can adjust while midst fighting. Mosley just needs to take it to him like he did Margo. No Doubt Floyd will retreat to get that space he likes but you just gotta keep comming..keep him awkward and uncomfortable...IF YOU DONT he will settle in and whe he does he will pick anyone apart period.
Lead right hands , right hook to the body on the ' tricept/bicept muscle split ' , elbow and left kidney.
this was one of the biggest prollems he had against Cotto...when Cotto boxed he just would not move his head and ate far too many shots!! Floyd is too accurate for him to do that.
And when he is leaning back, cant get caught up in trying to punch the head. Straight rights to the body to push him back.
Shane and his trainer, even now, will be cooking up way to get to Floyd, ways to land on him, and ways to beat him. If they decide the jab is a key, they'll be working on it now - not harcore but they'll be getting some work in early to get every opportunity they can. There is no one key to this fight; they way to win is to bring as many dimensions as you can to the table. Over the years, people have had varying degrees of success against Floyd with different abilities: these people subsequently came apart when their abilities started to fade, and when Floyd began to adapt. Judahs speed, accuracy and combos did trouble PBF, and you could argue he did so for a few rounds. Hatton had (limited) success with applying constant pressure. ODLH had success for the first half of the fight with his jab. What shane needs to do is to have a plan A, B, C, D etc, right on through to Z. Every time Floyd adapts, move on to the next thing - keep him guessing, don't let him get comfortable, don't let him get his rhythm and start teeing off with HIS style. Rounds 1 and 2: pounce on him, be aggressive, cut him off, get in clinches and rough him up. Punch him low, shove him about etc to remind him what he's in for. After that, start throwing in volume and pushing forward like Judah did, use feints or big combos just to land on him. Triple the jab, go to the body and go back upstairs again. Floyd is great at slipping punches in 3's and 4;s, but throw 5's, 6's and 7's and you'll catch him. Feint him and jab jab jab, then follow everything up with 2 or 3 more shots. Don't give him room. When he starts to adapt to the volume, turn aggressive again, but focus on sapping him in clinches and REALLY digging in the bodu shots. Alos, start working his arms over. Just clock up damage. Realsie you're not gonna land on the button and be happy you can land anywhere. Obviously it's not set in stone, but my point is MIX IT UP: bring EVERYTHING to the table and don't rely on one thing, be ready to mix things up and abandon certain punches or plans, even if they seem to be working. All Shane has to do is win the first 6, then get one more in the bag somewhere down the stretch. Easier said than done, but just remember it's a points game. Get those rounds in the bag!
:good He needs to let Floyd be offensive. Mosley's jab isn't good enough to try that. Mosley needs to combination punch as well...he has a habit of loading up at times with single punches, especially that overhand right.
Mosley needs to watch jose luis castillo, jesus chaves, ricky hatton, zab judah and mimic there styles even oscar had success but shane must make floyd fight and not allow that shoulder role make him fight. Oscar could have won that fight he had the right tactic but he abandon the plan ricky hatton gave mayweather problems but he was easy to. Figure out all he did was charge foward even though jesus chavez was koed he gave mayweather hell and the people know castillo won the first fight
