from the beginning look suspect. I don't recall cross outs on any scorecards I've seen. Now you have the "hatman" controversy and him apparently talking to judges and handling scorecards. In addition, did anyone notice Peterson whole first name looked crossed out too. It seems to me "Amir" was the first name to be written out. If anything nefarious is found out, just declare it a no contest.
That'll not happen. Ever written something down and realised you did it wrong? I reckon that's the verdict here. Peterson did enough for a W. As for the Hatman, not a chance of him showing up again or being called a fraud.
The thing thats a bit weird is that with all their experience, this Hatman thing was happening right infront of the eyes of Oscar De La Hoya and Bernard Hopkins..........
And one of them has a big business interest in Peterson and Khan. It's not Hopkins who has the interest, and I think GBP and OSCAR DE LA HOYA are the men, the interest being Khan, and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
yep innocent mistake but this hatman dude is shady...but agree that Lamont did enough for a win but any excuse to get the decision overturned, I'm sensing no contest and immediate rematch or at least an immediate rematch ruled.
Why are people listening to the Con Artist? Remember, he is the one who said that Michael Buffer TOLD HIM that he was the winner and Buffer said that he never speaks to boxers and tells them scorecards. He also said that Peterson and his trainer told him he was the winner. You're dealing with a certified liar, he's simply seeking sympathy and making suckers who are easily manipulated see things his way.
I am a massive Khan fan but still dont agree that the fight should be a No contest. Its all about an immediate rematch. Big money, big fight, And both fighters get the chance to prove themselves again. The thing is its unfair to just strip Peterson. The odds on him being in on any horseplay are slim to none, so its not his fault if anything untoward did happen. They owe us, the public an instant rematch in our eyes
I thought Khan won the fight anyway. I had it 114-111. I honestly don't see how Peterson won the fight. To me, it was an easy fight to score. It was a bad decision, but not a terrible decision, like Williams-Lara. This "hatman" character is suspicious, but what could he have done? The judges know what score they had, so if someone attributed a score to one of them that wasn't accurate, wouldn't they have spoken up by now?
There's more to it than just Hatman :hat talking to the commissioner and going through his work. The following happened, too: The WBA commissioner - the one who Hatman :hat was talking to - had tallied the fight up to be a draw. The BBC have tried to ask him who Hatman :hat was, but he refused to answer. Because the WBA commissioner's scorecard was different to what was read out, they needed the IBF commissioner's scorecard to verify why they were different. But the IBF's scorecard went missing. The missing IBF scorecard turned up two days later, and Schaefer has questioned the validity of it; saying the numbers and paper are too neat to be the original one from the night. The inconcistent score tallying and missing scorecards, were strange enough. Now there's The Mysterious Hatman :hat to add further confusion to the whole situation. Because not only was he touching and reading the judging slips, he appears to be in the ring with Peterson and his celebrating team, too.
Not a fan of either fighter, but credit where its due, they put on a great show. Parts of the fight reminded me of the SR Leonard/Hagler fight. Round 1. Khan 10/8 Round 2. Khan 10/9 Round 3. Khan 10/9 better round for Peterson, but not enough to win Round 4. Peterson 10/9 Round 5. Khan 10/9 Round 6. Khan 10/9 Round 7. Even but for sake of arguement will score to Peterson 10/9, Khan also had a point deduction to come off at end Round 8. Peterson 10/9 Round 9. Khan 10/9 Round 10. Even but once again will score for Peterson 10/9 Round 11. Khan 10/9 Round 12. Khan 10/9 but Khan had another point deducted to come off at the end Total 114 - 111 (Khan) Felt it was a clear win for Khan in a tough fight where both fighters had to give and take. Why did the scorecards take such a long time to get added up?
I had Khan up a point going into the 12th and depending on your score of the 12th is the result of the fight that said i was glad Petersen won, he fought like a champion in a fight i dont think many thought he was gonna win and beat a guy being groomed for the PPV p4p stage I hope this doesnt get reversed and we see Peteresen get his chance at Pacquiao or Bradley
