Well, according to the show this boy who wanted to be made into a boxer had to wake up at 4 a.m to run, then school, then train.

I was wondering, should I wake up early in the morning to run before school? I barely can stay awake in class as it is, but I want to be the best boxer I can be.

    What do you guys think?

Up to you , personal choice, i think when you do it doesnt matter as long as its done. Personally i struggle to do morning runs before work or get up that early, however i makesure that it gets done when i get home. However for some people it can be good motivation when you think the proverbial "other guy" is asleep, or when i run late at night in the pub

I don't think it makes a difference mate, What time do you have to be in school? If it's at 9am, you probably won't have wake up till 7am.

Remember though, don't let your school work suffer because of it. As much as you want to be a champ, the chances are slim and you need something to fall back on.

    Good luck.

It starts at 8, ends at 4:30. Training starts at 5. So I have a tight schedule xD

Run when you know you are motivated to do so. Forcing yourself to get up and exercise at a time when you don't even want to be awake is just setting yourself up for failure. If your schedule is that tight you might have to save running for the weekends.

If you start school at 8, run at 6. 4 is just crazy imo inless your a pro athlete in camp.

alternatively you could do it at night, at say 10 or 11 o lock.

    Agreed.:good

Running in the morning or at night shouldn't be a marathon event either. If you do get up to run at 6ish...which for a young man aint going to kill you, I think the exercise can actually fully wake you up in the morning and be the start of a healthy and positive training ethic.

Keep the run short and brisk, and you never know just how far you can go in the greatest sport in the world till you've given it your best shot. Good luck with your journey young man.:thumbsup

Running early can be good because it frees up a lot of the rest of your day. For a long while I was in the habit of being up at 5 running and it worked out good for me. I've since started a job on top of school and just can't do it any more. Need the sleep more then the run.

But yea nothing wrong with running early and I believe it is a decent routine to get into, but just so long as you aren't paying a price for it, ie grades slipping from being tired and so on.

HELL NO! SCHOOL IS THE NUMBER 1 PRIORITY!
the reason y they probably had him do that is because it was t.v. and that's how the media wants to portray boxers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
