well in June we will see two of the best lighter fighters in boxing today the crafty hard punching PRican sensation JuanMa Lopez v Daniel Ponce de Leon....I like my PR kid he has everyting style, power and knowledge, but Ponce de Leon is a tough customer himself with equal amount of power to respond to JuanMa's power..I am looking for a classic battle ..possibly could be Vazquez v Marquez or Marquez v Pacquaiao type of fight....this two southpaws will bring it....

with all do respect to Israel..which I love as a fighter...these two soutpaws present some serious problems to Israel and Rafa..have not fight southpaws with this pop or understanding for the science, specially Juan Ma 5'-7" and
    68" reach....with mega power

i know that when you say understanding of the science you are not referring to pdl. he is as primitive as they come.

Ponce is definitely not the best, after his bull**** win over the filipino fighter Gabriel something. He was getting kinghit with virtually every punch while his own punches were hitting the filipino's arms and gloves.

DPDL and JuanMa are major players at 122 but right now, Izzy is the king. How do you rate the other 122 champ Celestino "The Towering Inferno" Caballero? He's the only boxer (aside from Peñalosa) who schooled and mauled Ponce De Leon?

This all depends on JuanMa's ability to handle Pressure. Ponce is a **** fighter . . . his performance against Penaloza should prove it. Anybody who can handle pressure will give Ponce a problem.

I'm leaning towards JuanMa on this one.

Rafa 7 Izzy would KO Ponce inside 3 rounds. Infact, id pick Izzy to KO Ponce straight after his 12 round brawl with Rafael! ponce is one of the worst champions today. His power is overrated, it is heavy but so so slow, speed, well dare I say Valeuv is faster than him, skills...again id say Valuev is more skilled than him.

The only serious problems these two (PDL and JML) bring to Israel and Rafa are that they are "younger" in boxing years, and have not been in wars. They are about to enter their peak years, and Rafa and Izzy have shaved about two to four years off of their boxing careers due to their trilogy.

Mentally I don't know if Juanma is ready....I think Lopez is the far better boxer but does he have the exp???? This will be his test into the bigtime. I will root for the kid.

Experience or not, I think Juan Ma will show up huge in this one and outclass Ponce.
