Is it just me or does anyone thing the attempts of putting on a mean fight face by Vitali & Wlad make them look almost comical not scarey at all LOL Another one the same is Clenelo he looks real funny. The king of mean faces & intimidation is definitely Iron Mike Tyson. Saw him first time at the' fights I didn't know he was behind me He gave me that look sent chills through me. I could just imagine how his opponents felt when he stood across the ring from them

Vitali coming off that layoff and demolishing Sam Peter the way he did was one hell of an inspiring thing to see. Willpower and discipline can sometimes offset age and frailty of bones.

It was a very underrated accomplishment; along with having the best rounds won percentage, he really had two of the more remarkable HW achievements in history.

Lol. I don't dislike Dino like you do, but I do recall (years after he had retired) he swore Vitali would never make the HOF, let alone on the first ballot.

Vitali was the best Heavyweight on the scene from the moment in time he retired Lennox Lewis at Staples Center to the moment in time when he had his final boxing match!

    Well done Vitali!

First time hall of fame enshrine. Boxing has no higher honor. In addition, I hear Vitali got the most votes in this class. Well deserved.

    No, he retired your boy.

Lewis was saying only months prior to the Vitali fight, that he was feeling fantastic.

Enter going to war with Vitali and he lost the taste for battle.

His own mother begged him not to get in the ring with the Dr of Pain and Lewis took heed to her words without hesitation.

Lennox lovely wife & his Mom, both named Violet BTW
had been harassing him to retire for months. He chose exactly the right time. He;d TKO'd Vitali when barely 80% ready Wlad had gone AWOL, Ike was otherwise detained
really there was no one left to fight
Lennox retired a Happily Married Healthy Wealthy Man
Happy Retirement Champ You've Earned It

All wives and mothers wish that their sons give up the sport of boxing, as no mother wishes to see their own flesh and blood get punched in the face for 12 long rounds.

It was nothing new, however this time the mother understood what would be staring in the face of Lewis if he didn't quit once and for all. She was so distressed, terrified, clutching her fully grown son to her chest, that she begged him not to face the beast from Ukraine once more.

His own trainer Manny Steward was sickened by his own fighters decision to bail out of boxing and retire instead of delivering on his promise.

I told Lennox after the fight: I feel like we owe Vitali a rematch. Lennox agreed with me. Even after a year since Lennox left boxing, we talked about that fight. She didn’t want him to continue boxing, despite the fact that Lewis still wanted to fight. If Vitali and him were able to secure a rematch, it would be very intriguing.”

Vitali is an interesting guy; on the one hand he was a physical specimen, a true super heavyweight who knew how to use his size. Very measured in his approach and always in shape. Great power but not really a one punch type of guy. He was always the intimidator and never intimidated. He has incredible, ATG stats (not just for a heavyweight but any weight). He possessed an iron chin along and never showed any fear or confusion or uncertainty in the ring. On the other hand, he’s known for being the less athletic one of the brothers, quitting against Byrd due to an injury and, of course, TKO6. He canceled more fights due to his health and his competition makes Joe Louis’s “bum of the month club” look like Murderers Row. He also tested positive for steroids. And then there’s that whole TKO6 thing...
