Yeah, Johnson's career has to be one of the most badly mishandled of the last decade. I'm not sure he could have been much more of a factor in the division, but he surely could have gotten some decent paydays that have now really passed him by. It's unfortunate, really.

I hope that he gets a new managerial team behind him and steps on the gas with this comeback.

The division can still use him. You just don't see a lot of guys with his classy skills right now. Wouldn't it be great if he got himself in real shape and had a rematch with Vitaly- win or loose- just to show that he is capable of more thanhe showed in the first fight?

It would be fantastic, and with the state of today's division, it could happen. It all depends on how bad Kirk wants it. He was in decent shape for his comeback fight, but he still needs to get down lower in weight. I am sincerely hoping he gets everything sorted out and comes back strong.

I like Kirk, but if he's to be taken seriously he needs to watch his weight and be more active in his comeback.

Kirk Johnson was a very good fighter, but he was lazy and never rose to the level needed when it mattered. He is old now so a comeback is meaningless.

The raising of the Titanic is more likely to succeed as opposed to a Kirk Johnson successful comeback.:deal

Well, everyone reacts to age differently. Maybe he just can't get it togehter.

In any event, he still has a couple of years if he decides to get it together before this younger generation of heavies matures.

good 'ol Kirk. Too bad he got injured before facing Lennoc Lewis, forcing Vitali to step in.

Surely, if Kirk fought Lennox, he would've been knocked out.
With that said, I wonder if Lennox would've retired upon defeating Kirk???

Any word on Kirk yet? Has he hung the gloves up for good, or is he still training and looking for another fight?
