U can call them boring ( Wlad in particular ) or robotic or whatever, Im one of those people.. Call them what u want but at least these guys are dedicated to their craft.. At least they always stay in shape and try to better themselves.. I expect a pro athlete to conduct themselves like a pro and the Klit brothers are doing that by always coming inshape for a fight..

IT's not their fault that all these other guys are so God dam sorry and fat.. All these fatsos with man boobs.. I dont respect pros who are out of shape.. Imagine Kobe Bryant or Dwayne Wade playing in the NBA finals while weighing about 300lbs.. That's why i dont watch the HW division and i dont consider them as real fighters..

Wlad and Vitali on the other hand, they're true prize fighters.. A real pro..

    They deserve more respect.

There the best of a bad bunch. One has a glass and the other one fights like a robot, and far from fluid. I give Wlad and Vitali credit for beting whose ever put infront of them for the most part, but other than that it's hard to give them much props for anything else. Like the amercian economy, the Heavyweight division has been in a depression for the last 5+ years since Lewis left.

I agree with what you say, and I do think they get their due respect for dedication, even from the haters like myself.

It is however a sad day when we have to give respect to fighters just for bothering to keep in shape.

I respect them, always have. More people will as time goes by, similar to a Larry Holmes situation.

Vitali is alot more fluid and dynamic than given credit for. In fact his offence works off what his opponent gives him and he can counter the **** out of someone or even switch up his combinations. Like against Gomez when he started throwing the lead right and following it up with a hard jab instead of the traditional 1-2. It worked real well and was a skillful move.

Wlad on the other hand, and I think BigReg said this about Kessler once, but its even more blatant for Wlad... Wlad has to call in a comitee and have a council vote before he throws a counter.

Finito is right. They have nobody to bring the best out of them. They either loose badly or Beat a Bum Down something Serious. Vitali Best fight was against an Old lewis. Wlads was against brewster lol. Not any real wars beyond those if you wish to call em that. Just one sided all the way weather they are loosing or winning.

Respect should be earned and I think they have done that. Personally I'd like to see Holyfield or a healthy Golota face the Klits, even a determined Maskaev.

Vitali wants to fight for the WBA title ASAP.

They both work very hard in the gym and do deserve credit.

They are cleaning out the top ten heavyweights.

I certainly respect them. I'm not a real "fan" of them - but they're a real credit to the HW division.

I can't think of any other HW's out there who are actually "in shape" - most are fat slobs and 20-30lbs overweight (or more). I can't believe how many fat, lazy ****s there are out there today.. what is the deal with that?!?!

I just don't understand why modern HW's are so fat and seem to think they can just throw 30-40 punches a round and expect to be anywhere NEAR the level that they could be had they actually been in shape.

What's almost as bad is how people point to the "size" of the modern HW's and say that is the reason they would crush the old school HW's who were only ~200lbs. Peter was over 260 in his last fight, Arreola has AT LEAST 30 pounds of extra fat on him. Hell, every other supposedly "good" HW these days looks like he spends his time eating BigMacs rather than doing road work.

Those old school guys were in awesome shape, could throw 80-100 punches a round for 15 rounds if they had to, could move around the ring, threw combinations, and were just completely dedicated to their sport. If they entered the ring out of shape, they'd lose - plain and simple.

The Klit's are big boys, and they don't seem to be carrying any extra weight. They're dedicated to staying on top. I wish they could have some better competition that would really show how good (or bad) they are - but there's noone at their level, and noone on the horizon that I can see.

People think Haye has a shot, but I think it's more wishful thinking than anything. I haven't seen him do anything at HW that makes me think he can take out either of them.

They will always take a fair amount of criticism from certian groups and get praised by others. I mean come on be serious, do you really think white, non-American, defensive styled guys fighting in one of the weakest HW divisions ever are going to be respected by all??

    Deal with it.

For the record I respect them both, Vitali twice as much as Wlad.

The haters will never give Klitschkos any credit.

I remember when American boxing writers would actually lie about a Klitschko fight, back then they could usually get by with it, at least for most American fans, but I would always get the fight on tape, caught them lying through their teeth so many times. Many of us used to discuss this bias. I have to give credit to Marty Mulcahey for giving them their due credit years ago. He was a good boxing writer, he had the old boxing site "Boxing Wise", which no longer exists.

It is that bias that made me so angry and determined to support Klitschkos, plus their obvious talent.
